Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Was pleasantly surprised to find an authentic Thai restaurant in a dominantly Tex-Mex area (much as I enjoy that cuisine as well). From the honey-ginger tea to the # 45. PAD MA MUONG HIM MAPAN-STIR FRIED CASHEW (with shrimp), it was a real.pleasure. wait staff...were all pleasant and friendly, kitchen was fast. 'Medium Spice: was spot on, with two dried chili peppers left in the stir fry mix, which I really enjoyed. Rice was perfect. If you like Thai cuisine, this is a place to enjoy. Great ambience as well.More

Love my Pad Thai happy hour! 🍲 The flavor, the authenticity, and the service are other pluses! I recently moved to town and love this restaurant

Can’t rate the food as they couldn’t, or wouldn’t, seat our family. Most tables are for two. Unfortunate experience. May be good for takeout

We've actually been here several times, and it's quickly becoming our favorite Thai spot in Albuquerque -- of which there are a dozen or more from which to choose. The service is quick, the food is well-prepared and very tasty. One interesting nuance: You get...more "bang for your buck" at lunch than at dinner. Dinner prices are higher, but the menu is exactly the same and the portions are no larger. So be a savvy consumer and go here for lunch.More

Been coming here for a couple of years now and have never had a bad meal. It's nothing fancy, small restaurant in a strip mall but the food is fresh and always good. Service is fast and friendly, prices are very reasonable. Today I had...the yellow curry was 10/10. It was delicious! My husband had the chicken pad see ew, a favorite! Good portions, neither of us could finish.More

This restaurant was recommended by the owner of the Airbnb where we stayed. It is a great choice when you have tired of New Mexican cuisine and the location is removed from the local tourist spots. It is pretty and comfortable inside, the food was...delicious, and the service was adequate. We started with the spring roll appetizer (these are cold, not warm) and they were quite good. One of us had cashew chicken and the other had spicy basil chicken. Both were delicious.More

This was our first visit to Thai Spice, two of our good friends brought us and we were very impressed. I always try the Pad Thai to see the care the kitchen takes in the preparation and they hit the mark! It was delicious! The...service was outstanding, efficient and kind. Prices were very fair. Can’t wait to return.More

Great vegetarian section on menu with tofu which seems like vegan to me. Since we found this pace we re regulars. Very tasty flavors, I have taken non vegan friends here and they loved it as well.

I tried this place based on several reviews citing its offerings as "the best Thai food in New Mexico." I came away disappointed. I ordered green curry, which was extremely watery, gruel-like, and not rich and thick as Thai curry should be. Worse, despite the...restaurant's name, there was zero spice to the curry; it is probably the blandest Thai curry I've ever tasted. This isn't the 1960s, and especially in New Mexico, people can deal with spice. At the very least, the restaurant should ask its customers how spicy they want the dish (as Krung Thai does, for example). The pad thai (always a go-to dish for rating Thai restaurants) was only slightly better. It lacked any peanut topping and the soy-flavored sauce crowded out any peanut flavor. I grant that Albuquerque is not LA when it comes to Thai food, and I'd love a truly excellent Thai place here (next candidate for a visit: Orchid Thai), but even so, there are better options in the city.More

Just east of the Balloon Fiesta at Paseo and Wyoming, the best authentic Thai food in the State. The Proprietress was trained in Bangkok under her mother’s supervision. She, her family, and her staff set a standard here in Thai Spice for freshness, flavor, and...presentation with every menu item. My wife loves Padthai, and I enjoy several curries, but we delight in sharing meals here with friends, or takeout for meals at home. Outdoor dining is available, and reservations are honored as well. This is a charming family restaurant, where you will never be disappointed.More

This is the best Thai I've had in 13 years living in New Mexico. Up in Santa Fe we've never had a decent Thai restaurant. On a recent trip down to ABQ we ate here for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed it. My wife had the...tempura vegetables and I had a very large serving of red curry chicken.More

We had a delicious meal of Tom Kha soup, green curry, tempura shrimp and pineapple fried rice. The manager reserved a table for us and greeted us like we were old friends. There was so much food that all three of us ate till we...were full and still took enough home for another full meal for each of us. We'll be back again soon!More

Winning combination! Good service & great food. Mr Spearmen was a great server, quickly attentive to our needs. Restaurant is very clean, good social distancing, & employees wearing mask. Really enjoyed the Large fresh Spring rolls with the peanut sauce. We were very happy with...the amount of food per price we paid, even enough to have supper tonight. Rice was soft, vegetables were crisp & fresh. All sauces were outstanding. Many vegetarian choices if needed. You will not be disappointed with this restaurant. I highly recommend this place.More
