I don't know the area well so maybe it's the going rate. The sushi was good. I tried a couple rolls and liked them both. The spicy rainbow was very good. It just seemed a little steep compared to other places I have been.

I go here every few months and it remains one of my favorite in ABQ. I find the atmosphere relaxing and the food consistently good. There are usually interesting specials. I would compare this to some of the better midrange restaurants in Chicago or LA.

Was excited to try sushi with green chili; less excited as the meal progressed and the service got worse. Dirty plates left on the table, then neither the waiter nor chef seemed sure of what they gave to us for dinner. Food was average.

I was a frequent diner here when it was Japanese owned. (I'm a sushi-snob, and only eat from authentic Japanese restaurateurs.) I'm happy to report that the new owner has kept the same high quality that the previous owner, Ono did. Worth a visit and MUCH better than the competitor down the street!

I am from the East Coast. I love Sushi and tried 2 places during a week long trip. The #1 Sushi place on TA was OK. The staff was pleasant but honestly the Sushi was mediocre. If you like Sushi.....Travel to Crazy Fish in the Nob Hill area. Have Kitt prepare some amazing sushi. Very generous Nigiri portions....even at Lunch.... More

I was a little unsure about having lunch here because I don't consider myself a huge sushi expert. But I was with a large group who had agreed to meet up here after a morning photographing in various parts of downtown Albuquerque, and had been told the place was really good. That was an understatement! I had a Rainbow Roll... More

- Service was good. It wasn't one of those waiters that would come to your table every 5 seconds but he did refill our drinks when needed. - Our order didn't take long to arrive. - Very nice decor. A few beat up tables but not that noticeable. - As far as food, sushi was good. It was nothing out... More

Was not sure what I would find here--the place was deserted because it was between terms at UNM and all of Central Avenue looked like a ghost town. That said, we were pleasantly surprised with the food here. My husband had tuna sashimi, my son had the chicken teriyaki, and I (the lone vegetarian) had a stir-fry veggie noodle dish that... More

The sushi took FOREVER. Not sure what the problem was. When it did come, it was just mediocre. The poor waitstaff was hustling and apologizing and trying hard, but couldn't make up for the other problems.

Service was a joke. Very confused wait staff, one took order but didn't submit it to the kitchen, the other had to play catch up and everything came at once. Prices are reasonable. Tempura was good, sushi just ok, no precise knife skills. I'd pass next time.
