Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The menu is varied and delicious and the prices are reasonable. The service in general is always very, very good. We especially enjoy our breakfast/lunch when we are waited on by Ms. Evelyn Alvarez. She is one of the best at what she does. If...you go to the Council Room ask for Ms. Alvarez, you won't be disappointed with her service or the food.More

Had an excellent lunch two days in a row. The food in the Council Room has improved so much. They must have new manager or cooks. Service was exceptional as well.

Went to eat with my parents a few days ago and was not at all happy. Is was pretty empty yet food took a while to be cooked a waiter was constantly having to check why it was taking so long so I finally went...up to the hostess stand and noticed two women speaking I asked the hostess if either one of them was a manager she told us both the ladies where supervisors went to let them know the wait time for even just our salads was ridiculous especially for it being so empty! The supervisors seemed very annoyed when I went up to them and were very RUDE! The woman with glasses and long curly dark hair gave me a very hateful attitude and spoke down to me while the lady with red hair rolled her eyes in annoyance. I also noticed this was how they both spoke to some other their staff as well as I was leaving. As someone in management myself treating your guests and staff so poorly is an easy was to loose business. When I first came in the hostess seemed to be welcoming and polite but as soon as those two women spoke to them the same way I was spoken too with a hostile attitude I noticed the host tried to keep their happy appearance but one of them had eyes ready for tears as she was wishing us a goodnight and safe travels. Will NOT return to much of a hostile environment! Either need to hire more cooks or better ones and definitely need friendlier management. Extremely disappointed.More

We went to have lunch at the Council Room and OH BOY!!!!! Customer service is HORRIBLE!!! The waiting lady threw the menus on the table, she didn’t even talked to us. The food took too long, they didn’t even gave us Tostadas and chips. When...I talked to the manager he said he was going to check on our table and our order. He turned around went to the front and started using his phone. Never checked our order. NO ONE CARES ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE HERE!!! We try to go when we see Evelyn I think her last name is Alvarez. SHE IS THE BEST OF THE BEST. The hostess and the manager are worthless. The price is high and the customer service is super lowMore

Excellent food! Pleasant atmosphere. Our waitress was Carmella O. Service was prompt and checked on our needs many times. Would recommend to everyone. Love the steak and enchiladas. The steak is always cooked to perfection!

Worst Rueben Sandwich ever! Meat sparse and tough. No Swiss Cheese Barely any sauerkraut or sauce. It looked and taste like leftover scraps from the kitchen. Disappointed!

Best omelette in Albuquerque! Unfortunately we were stuck in Albuquerque waiting for RV repairs. Parked at Sandia Casino. Went in for breakfast. The waitress was outstanding and my husband had the best ham, mushroom, and bacon omelette. So full of the good stuff. Well worth...the visit!More

We tried twice to get a nicely cooked and HOT Thanksgiving meal, but everything was hard to eat, plus the waitress had a bad habit of disappearing for 5-10 minutes at a time and had to talk to the busboy for any attention... stay well...away from this place!More

The waiter didn't bring out complimentary appetizers because they ran short of salsa. He didn't set the table so we had to search for cutlery. Otherwise he was pleasant. The food was good, but it took a while.

We ate dinner here on a Monday evening. Our waitress seemed like she had too many tables--worked awfully hard when the restaurant didn't seem that busy. Took awhile for beer to come. We had Caesar salads which had too much dressing on them and the dressing...tasted like mayonnaise, not Caesar. We ordered fried calamari as an appetizer. The calamari was good, but the sauce tasted like red mayonnaise--no spice or flavor. I had the fried shrimp--which were overcooked and hard tempura-style. And my hubby had the fried fish which was overly greasy. Could be a one off--lots of other people report they've had good experiences. We would not choose to eat here again, although we like the hotel and casino.More

Albuquerque rolls up the sidewalks at 9 or 10 pm, so dining is limited at that hour to Applebee’s and such. So I stopped in to the Council Room for a late night hamburger and glass of wine. Watch out for the separate booze list...because the menu has only local alcohol suggestions. Anyway, green Chile cheeseburger was good. Service was good once they noticed me, which took a while. Decently priced glass of wine.More

While staying at the Sandia Resort we experienced the Council Room one time each for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Although it does have typical steakhouse offerings, much of the menu is more casual fare. We ordered the latter, so I cannot comment on the steaks....Apart from the steaks, the rest of the menu was moderately priced and we enjoyed each item we ordered. It had a good balance of Southwest cooking and more common comfort food offerings. Portions were large and were often enough for two of to share a single item. Service was attentive for the most part, although it did get a bit busy in the evening. It is not the usual steakhouse atmosphere but much more casual with booths rather than tables.More

Food is filling but no WOW factor. Fish tacos are grilled without batter-YUM but side dish is FRIES and you need to ask for salsa for tacos.Wait staff vary in quality of service.Female staff need to wear long hair tied back neatly, not look as...if they walked through a tornado - a health code red flag. Tables inconsistently cleaned.Management needs to be retrained in hospitality- greet people with a smile and enthusiasm and offer beverage selections immediately. Have daily specials-offer regional cuisine from Sandia Pueblo. Show Native style and charm.More
