We had the kona coffee ice cream. Yummy But the gals in front of us had shaved ice. It looked amazing! And big? No massive! Portions are out of this world on both the shaved ice and the ice cream. You gotta try it!

Stopped here for a breakfast sandwhich before a whale watch trip. Huge menu with lots of selections, breakfast, lunch or dinner. Clean rest room and friendly service.

Good selection of local ice cream flavors. Friendly service, and a great way to end a day in Hawaii!

We were looking for something other than rice and fish for breakfast and stumbled on the Aloha Deli. It's located directly across from an industrial port, so no view or ambiance. It's small, surfer themed, but clean enough and the server was pleasant. Food was basic breakfast but good. We were a party of 6 and 4 orders came out... More

Beautiful shave ice creations, including one that has a scoop of ice cream in the center. Only trouble is that there is only one person working, so it takes a while.

We found this spot while looking for alternatives to our hotel breakfast. Got a very friendly server, and it was very homey inside. Food was also price well and good. The french toast in particular was very good. Definitely would recommend making a stop here if you are in the area.

While visiting the Big Island to celebrate Christmas with our daughters, we stopped for lunch at the Aloha Deli Cafe, near Kamuela. The restaurant was quite full when we arrived (a good sign, I always feel), but the young woman server acknowledged our presence quickly and took our order as soon as possible. Service was quite prompt, and our sandwiches,... More

A quick stop while driving north along the coast. Casual diner with displaying posters for an annual jazz and blues festival and plenty of surf photos. An interesting mix of traditional (loco moco), local (catch of the day) and contemporary (soy smoothies and chai tea). Attracts both locals and tourists. Moderately priced. Friendly albeit casual staff with good service. Highly... More

Since we were staying in a resort at Waikoloa, everything around that area is on the expensive side and lacking the local flavours. Saw this place while driving up the coast. It's cosy and has some interesting menu items (including various forms of loco moco!). Cheap, hearty food.

My wife has celiac disease so we are always looking for good gluten free food. We were driving back from the north shore of the big island and were looking for a place to have lunch. We stopped at a restaurant that turned out to be closed but since we were hungry decided to look in a hole in the... More
