Pretty good menu really enjoyed the bar area. It's right in town so it's an easy place to stop in and get appetizers and a drink. Nice staff too.

I got a salad that came with chicken and avocado, I added bacon. The chicken tasted like paper, the avocado was old, so instead of giving it in slices like the menu said they smashed it up to hide the "brown" color. The lettuce was terrible, soggy, and had black edges. I was charged $17 and am mad that I... More

Sorry to hear about your experience. I have uploaded a photo of our salad menu which CLEARLY states that the salad you ordered comes with guacamole, not avocado "slices" as you posted. In case you are not familiar with guacamole, it is smashed avocado with the addition of several other ingredients. The menu also CLEARLY states the the salad includes... More

Intriguing menu. Decided to do dinner there. Seating staff brought us through the restaurant to a table with a Reserved sign on it. She said, "Oh, this is reserved. You can sit at the bar." And then walked away. So, umm, what? So, yeah, I guess we're sitting at the bar? This is where things turn for the better, the... More

We celebrated my birthday at Grubsteak. The waitress was very attentive and even bought out a cake for dessert. We both had the Yak burgers which were terrific. Neither of us had eaten it before but I look forward to having it again.

Food was great and service as well. We had Yak, Elk and buffalo burgers. Price was just as normal for a place like this.

First yak burger I've had and it was delicious! Burger was almost to small to share so you might want to get your own. Definitely recommend!

During winter several restaurants have different hours. While shopping in downtown Estes Park we decided to try this place for lunch. Man were we glad we did. The Cowboy hamburger was delicious. 1/3 lb. fresh ground beef, grilled Anaheim peppers and bacon. No I was not looking for the lowest calorie lunch. It was great. Everything was served hot. The... I've been in Estes Park for years and hadn't been to The Grubsteak- my loss ! The atmosphere is casual, the service is wonderful and the place is spotless. I'm allergic to gluten, so gluten free is a must and the staff here is well educated on the gluten free items on the menu. My sandwich was delicious, and my... More

We stopped here after spending the morning snow shoeing. We were looking for a burger and a beer and this place had both! Try the shrimp cigars for the appetizer. I had the jalapeño cream cheese burger and it was messy but good. Husband had the cowboy burger which was also good. Kids had the grilled cheese and Mac and... More
