Absolutely outstanding! The view from the restaurant was breathtaking at sunset. The place has plenty of historic charm and character. The menu is varied and totally wonderful. I had the country chicken and my husband had the lamb and both were delicious. We ate there two nights. The service was attentive without being hovering. Scotty our waiter was superb and... More

We were impressed by the breadth of the menu and quality of food. While a bit pricey, the overall experience of location, taste and service was worth it.

This is such a step back in time. Loved the old hotel and handcrafted tables and chairs. We had the best filet, so very tender. The mashed potatoes we fresh as if grandma just made them. The salad with apples was fresh and yummy. The view was amazing. We were treated with smiles and warm welcome the minute we walked... More

My husband and I were at this restaurant 20 years ago but did not recognize the name. We knew it as soon as we walked in. Has not changed and still has a great menu and views of Estes Park. We opted for a balcony table since the weather was perfect. Service was great and the short ribs were tender... More

We have been here several times throughout the years. It is always a treat. A wonderful old hotel with so much character. The dinner was over cooked, but the chef apologized and went out of his way to make it right. The waitress was very good as well. They gave us a beautiful table by the window and we loved... More

We made a reservation at The View restaurant for Thursday, September 10, 2015. We were seated immediately. It is quite a drive up the side of a small mountain to get here and it is quite a striking lodge. When making the reservation we were asked if we wanted to eat on one of the private balconies, weather permitting. I... More

The dining room itself was very nice, the wait staff also. The menu was limited and on a Saturday night they had no specials. The menu we looked at on the website was not the same as the one we had that night. Disappointing. The pasta puttanesca was very good, but for the money not enough food. Two people at... More

The View Restaurant is in a large room in the Crags Lodge with large windows and a great view. Last night we started dinner with a serving of the Pork Belly which was wonderful and came with a delicious sauce. This was followed with a small Apple and Gorgonzola salad, which was another winner. For our main courses I had... More

We had dined at The View several times in the past and had enjoyed the food. The menu has changed since our visit last year. We started with the eggplant dip which was ok but rather spicy for our taste. We also asked if we could have additional pita bread as it was served with 4 pieces but we're essentially... More

Enjoyed a fantastic dinner here one late August evening. Our waiter was fabulous - so friendly and efficient! All four of us ordered different entrees and each sampled a bite of the others. There was no bad plate in the house! I'm not much of a duck fan, but the chef has made a non-duck lover long for more duck!... More
