We visited this restaurant while travelling with a group. The restaurant itself has a cosy atmosphere. The initial service, when offering the map and ordering drinks took a bit long from my perspective, but not annoyingly. We had the oysters as starters to share - phantastic, local, fresh! As main course I had the burger - see picture attached. Was... More
Great place to eat, different entrees on the menu. Had the giant shrimp cocktail, and they were giant and very firm and tasty. Did the Resturant week prefix menu and it was great. The berries and cream for dessert was amazing.
We both tried a pasta dish. It was so good I had to try to re-create it at home. I love that they have some unusual items since if I am going out I prefer it not be something I usually make at home.
This restaurant is one of a kind. It's unique layout lends itself to a multitude of different dining experiences. The bar is fun to sit at take in the people coming and going, and the adjacent dining room is darker and more intimate. The food is locally sourced and really well done, as are the desserts. My daughter and I had dinner for Valentine's Day. We have been at New Rivers on several occasions. The food and service never disappoint. I had the carrot soup, polenta, quail stuff with duck and the chocolate cake. Everything was excellently prepared. This food is prepared by well-trained chefs and for a more sophisticated pallet. If you enjoy quality and... More
New Rivers is our favorite restaurant in New England! The dinning area is intimate and the wait staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful when ordering. Every menu item is either raised or grown locally and its preparation is impeccable. You will find yourself chewing your food slowly and shaking your head at your fellow dinners in astonishment at how something... More
This is the perfect restaurant...if you like absolutely delicious, never heavy, always creative but not too odd, food coupled with a simple, modern but warm atmosphere. I'm certainly not the only Providence resident to love this place - there are a lot of good reasons why we all feel that way.
Favorite place in Providence. Love the inside decor - simple yet tasteful with enough of modern touch details that create warm cosy atmosphere. Superb food - menu is vibrant, dishes are full of flavor. Attentive staff. Absolutely love that place.
