we always eat as much mex/sw as we can when in Tucson. This is the best we have found. Fairly expensive better have reservations as always a crowd. The menu ,written on a portable board changes probably daily. Always a variety, the mole's are excellent. desserts are a welcome closure to the meal

This was just as incredible as the other reviewers related. Both our entrees were great, and the restaurant handled an overbooking situation very nicely. Great wait staff, cool accommodations, all around fun. But... if you have any dining restrictions, call ahead. Due to mine, I had the choice between an unappetizing vegetarian dish and a salmon dish. Luckily, the salmon... More

First visit at lunch with group of 11 for birthday celebration. Table ready on arrival, with complimentary chips & salsa (very favorable) set out. Limited menu on chalk board, but something for everyone. Had the chicken mole, excellent and large portion. Rice and beans server family style. Most of menu had by table, all very good. Combo plate had by... More

We've been traveling to Tucson for at least 15 years to enjoy Sra Davila's fabulous cuisine at Cafe Poca Cosa for our anniversary dinner. From the margaritas to the pre-dinner salsa to the amazing chef's choice plates and finally the flan, it is an outstanding dining experience that I look forward to for months. The service is always impeccable. This... More

Six of us dined here and all were enthusiastic about the ambience, the service, the quality and variety of the food, the artistic presentation and the price! Cannot say enough good things about the food. Best mole sauce I have tasted either in Mexico or elsewhere. Waitress and chef were careful and concerned when advised about allergies of one of... This was the first restaurant we ate at in Tucson. We didn't have a reservation and decided to wait for a table, and wait we did for about 2 hours while we drank really great margaritas and ate homemade chips and salsa. It was definitely worth the wait! There were only about 5 or 6 things on the menu which... More

Last night in Tucson we went to cafe poca cosa for a departure dinner. I had chicken breast mole, a huge portion and with the best mole I have ever had--even in Oaxaca. Slightly sweet, heavily chocolate, and gently spicy. What a treat! And Jeff had pollo pepsin, another very good dish. Service was good and attentive.

We didn't know what to expect from this downtown restaurant. WOW!!! This was not your usual Mexican food. It was gourmet, and creative Mexican cuisine and delicious! The ambiance was beautiful, yet casual and the service was amazing! Ask for Antonio!!! He was the perfect server for this lovely restaurant. He carefully explained the menu that changes twice daily, and... More
