You'd miss this place if you weren't looking for it. A small unassuming spot tucked away one of Tucson's many mini strip malls, D's offers a welcome alternative to the ubiquitous Mexican tacos. The owner reportedly served his food from a food truck until acquiring this brick-and-mortar spot. This was my first visit here; we enjoyed the Jamaican tacos, burger,... More

I eat here as much as possible. Portions are filling. Native inspired refreshments. Spicy not hot. Family oriented service with smiling attentiveness. If they expand their vegetable choice's, they would be unstoppable.

This place certainly qualifies as an experience. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the food is authentic. Their "hamburger" is nothing like an American burger. It's ground finer, very thick and has different spices. Pour the special sauce over it for extra flavor. We didn't think much of the Double Meat Combo--its tasty, but a bit skimpy on... More

What a great find using online reviews! This is a delicious local place to have a unique and delicious experience that is nothing like chains or BBQ places. The spices and prep and service were very good at a reasonable price. Be sure to check it out!

Great Jamaican food this side of the United States. Jerk chicken, festivals, plantains, Jamaican beef patties, coco bread, ox tail stew and ginger beer. You'll always leave full, so bring an appetite.

I spent 8 days in Phoenix and Tucson on vacation and D's Island Grill was by far the best food we had on our trip. In fact it was the best restaurant meal I have had so far in 2016, and is probably in the top 20 restaurant meals I've ever had, it was THAT good. I had the curried... More

Authentic Jamaican cuisine. The oxtail was cooked to perfection. So tender and tasty. The curry goat and jerk chicken were also delicious. The chicken is cooked outside and smoked. The staff are super friendly and informative. Prices are very reasonable as are the portions. They are located in a strip mall on the corner of Ft Lowell and Country Club.... More

I have eaten here on several occasions, and the food has always been fresh, served with a smile and delicious. My daughter especially loves the coco bread. The owner and his family, yes it is a locally family owned and operated place I think that's a bonus, have always been so kind. He even catered an event for my husband... More

I have been going to this place since it was a truck on Grant. The food is flavorful and the portion size are good. I just wish it came with more than one festival, because they're yummy.
