We selected this spot from TA reviews as we were trying to find a local spot near the airport. Maybe Sonoran is just not my style of food. Guacamole was very bland and tasted like it had mayo in it - even after I added Salsa and lime juice from the salsa bar. Carne Asada Caramelo had very tough beef.... More

Food taste great, they have carne asada and chicken. Area is mostly clean except for some flies running around in the summer time. Customer service is great.

The Sonora dogs are excellent at this location, which I believe is the original site. The bacon wrapping the hot dog is just barely crispy, the beans nicely seasoned, and the bun is cloud soft.

I was recently visiting Tucson when I was reccommended to visit the famous El Guero Canelo take out on 22nd Street. The restaurant is very basic but the food is spectacular, one of the specialities is theircCarne Asada hot dog, I preferred to order the chicken quesadillas with complementary salsas and dips, amazing. Be careful with the complementary green peppers... More

It has been a while since last went. Hasn't changed. Sonoran hot dogs delicious and the carne asada burro was great and more than adequate. The settings are simple and clean. The condiments bar requires browsing for its uniqueness. Recommend for a taste of Tucson's Mexican heritage.

Great food and large portions. I've been coming here for a while and the food is great. Would recommend to anyone looking for Mexican food. PROS: -Food taste great -Large portions -Reasonable prices CONS: -Seating area could use some work (Not really weather friendly) -Sometimes there are veg rants that walk in looking for money

On vacation in Tucson, we stopped in to try the famous Sonoran hotdog, as we saw it on the show Man v Food. Hotdog wrapped in bacon, beans, cheese, mayo, and more. Pretty good tasting. My wife had a couple of street tacos. Nothing special, could have got them at home in Oregon. Get a plate of chips and Guacamole,... More

Really enjoyed my hot dogs and tacos. Self service condiment bar is a nice touch. Great for a quick sit down lunch or just for take-out.

Thank James B
