I've lived in Tucson for just over 2 years, and drive past Club 21 a couple times a week. I have suggested to my wife that we check it out. She always says 'No Way'. From the outside, it looks seedy and unfriendly, unwelcoming. The name 'Club 21' adds to the lack of curb appeal. Makes it sound like a... More

The service was very good. The food was nothing to brag about. Some was burned and the rest was nothing special. The salsa was very, very mild so if you like it that way this might be your kind of place.

Great food and even better salsa. Salsa is important, I base my likes on how good the salsa is unless the food is terrible. I hate salsa that is runny and runs off the chip or that is just chopped veggies. I like a salsa that stays on the chip. I like their chimis, taco salads and tacos. Great ground... More

I went to Club 21 for the first time in 1950 or 1960. I have returned several times over the years. But, I don't live near Club 21 anymore, and, with so many great, family Mexican restaurants in Tucson, it has been off my radar. That error will be corrected. I was with a group of about 20. The majority... More

We've been regulars at Club 21 for decades! While there has been some turn-over in staff, the food quality remains excellent. OK, maybe they recognize us coming through the door, but we've found the service prompt even on busy nights (like when they have a big group in the private dining room.) And if the combo dinners don't satisfy, doing... More

I have been here several times with friends. The menu offers enough choices to suit everyone. My son visited from Buffalo, NY, and was happier here than any other Mexican restaurant we have been to in Tucson. That's saying a lot!

A northwest side institution, Club 21 has an excellent menu and drinks that include a huge margarita. The interior decor is nice if a little on the dark side in the room that adjoins the bar. The sound of the fountain at the entrance almost makes you forget you are on Oracle Road. Now I'm sure Mexican food purists will... More

If you want real deal, authentic Sonoran Style Mexican Food without foofy pretensions and trendy fad ingredients come to Club 21. My father has been a devotee for nearly 40 years and the recipes have been handed down through the family since the 1940's. There is something so comforting about coming home and eating the food of my childhood. Like... More

Took guests to dinner Club 21 in late March. We all enjoyed our evening. The Margaritas are wonderful - made with fresh juice. We each had a different entree and everyone was satisfied. The service was good. This is an older restaurant, but, for me and my husband, it is better than most. Truly authentic Sonoran Mexican food.

First became acquainted with Club 21 in December of 1967. At the time I was casual, in the service, and usually in a rush. Between a quick cheeseburger or more satisfactory staid Mexican dining, I was enjoyably pleased. Each time I visit Tucson, Club 21 is a must stop.
