I had lunch here with a group of 8 girls for a Bachelorette Party weekend. The space is so nice and spacious. Our waiter was a good sport and very accommodating. I had the boiled shrimp and oysters on the half shell. Everything was very fresh and crisp! The cocktails were to die for! They have the best signature and... More

My wife and I went for dinner here tonight, we absolutely loved it. The server we had was amazing I wish I had remembered to get his name. They brought out fresh rolls to start us off and they were very good. We got fresh Texas oysters for our appetizers. Honestly some of the best raw oysters I've ever had.... More

Our last night in San Antonio and we were told not to miss this restaurant. We had not made a reservation and they were very busy however the maître d' was kind enough to find us a table. The food is by far the best we have eaten since our road trip begin seven weeks ago. I had the ribeye... More

At first, hubby was a little grumpy about the menu - too much to my taste - bitter veggies, quail, beets etc. Then he discovered the raw bar menu. After a few cocktails, a bottle of wine, and fantastic food, he was amazed at how cheap the meal was, given the quality.

I knew I was in trouble when the server said said skip the steak because it didn't come from a high quality cow. I didn't but he was right. My $35 ribeye was seasoned well but tough. I've never had a tough ribeye. The shrimp and grits were awesome. The roast chicken was great. Overall if you like New Orleans... More

Luke is a restaurant I will revisit. If you're looking for char-grilled oysters this is the best I've found in the area. My favorite restaurant is still in the Quarter but until I go back to New Orleans, Luke is my new "go to" place. Also, If you likes sweets then don't forget the dessert menu; we went with the... San Antonio is known for it's Tex-Mex, but I was ready to do something different. I was also a bit weary of the crowds and average service on the Riverwalk. So I decided to try the restaurant in the Riverwalk Embassy Suites, Luke. the evening was warm and I snagged a nice table on the patio overlooking the river. I... More

I love John Besh Restaurants so when I was in San Antonio I was delighted to find Luke. I love the Luke in New Orleans as well. I ordered the roasted chicken and a Luke Salad. As usual the food was perfectly prepared. The staff was friendly and service was excellent. I will go back for sure!

We were staying at the Embassy Suites where Luke is located so it was a natural inclination to try it for a meal especially since it is a John Besh restaurant. We went not once but 4 times during our stay in the city and all 4 times, once for lunch, twice for dinner and once for evening coffee and... More

Description
San Antonio is now home to acclaimed Chef John Besh’s restaurant, Lüke, on the city's famed Riverwalk, Besh's first restaurant outside of his home state of Louisiana. The casual chic bistro features a menu of authentic Old World cuisine, combining classic German and French cooking techniques served in a warm and inviting space of stylish vintage interior, situated in San Antonio's popular downtown district. At the helm of the kitchen of Lüke is Executive Chef John Russ, born and raised in New Orleans. At Restaurant August, Chef Russ began to form the relationship with John Besh and he learned the importance of forming relationships with farmers and fisherman, which would later be reinforced by his time working on farms in Alabama, New Hampshire, New York and Maryland. Chef Russ returned to the Besh Restaurant Group as Chef de Cuisine on the invitation of Chef Besh. To complement its cuisine, Lüke offers an extensive wine list and beer selection.
