Ya'll, this place is no longer the Fire Bowl Café. It's under new ownership, and it is now the Joy Café. Not to worry about the food. This place still pretty much is the same. If you're wondering about the food? It's still very good, and prepared the same way. Sorry, I was supposed to take a picture before I... More

First thing I would say is save your pennies...it's just NOT good. I ordered extra spicy chicken on fried rice and a bowl of hot and sour soup. First, the soup. At first I thought it was a sweet version of egg drop soup given to me by accident. I checked on the menu and they DON'T HAVE egg drop.... More

Food was okay but seemed very greasy. Went in with the impression that food was hot and made to order but the style is a fast food joint. Small selection and a bit over priced for the boxed rice ya get. I would pass.

This spot has become a staple for me at least twice per month for business meetings. I prefer lunch because their lunch bowls can't be beat. Price is excellent and food quantity is just right. I always get a bowl of miso soup on the side which is delicate and flavorful. On nice days it is worthwhile dining on the... More

If you're looking for Asian style "make your own" stir-fry this may be the place for you in the Quarry area of San Antonio. The restaurant offers some Asian standards like Sweet and Sour Chicken (or pork), Pad Thai, and General Tso's, but it also offers the diner the opportunity to put their own dish together. Diners can select their... More

Tasted okay, but nothing much to rave about. Food was a little greasy, portions were good though. Price was middle of the road for fast food. I would eat here again if I was looking for something quick and easy.

I really enjoy getting the bowl that you can put your own vegetables and get them stir-fried with a spicy peanut sauce; maybe with beef, or tofu. Yum!

The atmosphere is loud with a fast food feel. The food is mediocre. I don't recommend Fire Bowl Cafe. If you want good Asian food in the area go to Hsui Yu on Broadway.
