We have eaten at The Palm about 6 times, mostly in Houston. We were in San Antonio staying at the Gunter to see a show at the Majestic during a getaway weekend. After the 2:00 show, we decided to eat at The Palm. We were some of the first people there for an early dinner. The weather was perfect so... More

Seated in booth as requested but oddly our party of 4 asked to move to another booth (almost unheard of!) after being seated and greeted by waitstaff--Even our assigned waiter was surprised that we moved!? More than half way through our $500 meal a party of 2 arrived for that booth but by then 2 adjoining booths were available as... More

Even though pricing is set at a high level, the cuts of meat and fish are excellent. The side dishes are also of high quality and value.

One of the best steaks we had in San Antonio. The wait staff is very attentive. Very pretty decor. Fun 'pictures' of the upscale clientele and celebrities.

My wife and I stopped in and sat at the bar for a nightcap. It has great atmosphere. The walls are covered with drawings of people, some famous and some not. The bartender said that some of them are regular customers- you join a club and after you spend $1,500 you can have your face painted on the wall. We... More

We visit the Palm at least monthly. Their steaks and seafood is outstanding and the service is just as good. Very attentive and always helpful. located in downtown San Antonio and I would suggest if you are in the area to give it a try.

We initially tried to go to Bohanans because of the great reviews. We arrived at 6:30, the restaurant (Bohanans) was empty but said we needed a reservation! So we went two doors down to The Palm and it was excellent! I cannot imagine that Bohanans would have been any better. Pricey, but fabulous service, steaks were amazing and atmosphere was... More
