We made a last minute swing by to pick up sandwiches to take with us on our bike ride for a picnic. We asked for a couple of the delicious hot sandwiches, and though they recommended cold sandwiches, they wrapped them well and an hour later they were perfect and still a bit warm.

Stopped in for a quick lunch and really enjoyed the selection of salads and soups they had to offer. The tuna salad was one of the best ever.

A decent lunch with several sandwich and soup options. It also had an eclectic selection of drinks. I hadn't had a Samuel Smith Taddy Porter in several years. Very friendly staff. I would recommend eating outside if the weather permits.

There's little open in Friday Harbor on a Monday, we found.... BUT this little shop was open and we happily found it. Freshly prepared sandwiches, and friendly service. It's a small shop with no table service. It's more like a deli - order at the counter, and then they will call your order when its ready. Plenty of outdoor seating... More

Arriving early afternoon in Friday Harbor we looked for a place to grab a sandwich and decided to try The Market Chef on top of the hill overlooking the ferry terminal. The selection of sandwiches is impressive and we picked the Roast Beef & Rocket which has house roasted Oregon country beef, hot horseradish sauce, marinated red onion, chunky olive... More

We found the Market Cafe to be a genuine, down-home delicious place to eat where the locals and those in-the-know go to have some great breakfast or lunch whether on the deck on inside the cafe. The daily soup and sandwich will leave you happy and ready to go explore the island.

Good place for quality food with a caring staff that works hard to please you. Sandwiches, pasta, salads, vegetarian options, and daily lunch specials. Popular spot with the locals as the place was busy both times we ate there. The cafe is small and quite loud, with a small porch to handle the overflow crowd. Perhaps a bit pricey, but... More

Loved this place, the food is fantastic and healthy, portions generous and a motivated staff. Easy walk from the ferry docks, few tables outside, more inside. Worth the wait in line, if there is one. Price is worth every bite!! Can not wait to go back!!

Everything we had was wonderful. Even the tuna sandwich was delicious, my mom said. I had the spicy Asian noodle salad and it was amazing! A couple of things, they close by 1600, so get there early, and another reason to get there early is to snag some 1/2 priced scones. Those are so good.
