I've been visiting Santa Fe since 1970 and relocated here 16 years ago from San Francisco. I consider Galisteo Bistro to be one of the finest restaurants in the city and dine here as often as possible. The food is excellent with hearty portions (I took home half my lamb shank from last night's dinner), wonderful wine list, and an... More

We started with mussels appetizer that were perfectly prepared and then enjoyed the lamb that was also delicious. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, there's a nice wine list and the decor is beautiful. We definitely look forward to returning.

Galisteo Bistro has been resussitated by the former owner, with a highly sophisticated and creative menu - quite unusual for Santa Fe. Four of us sampled a variety of the offerings and found them all well prepared and delicious (one minor complaint: kitchen did not get what "well done" means. Flank steak had to be sent back for additional sizzling.)... More

Our waiter Ivan was exceptional, he knew the menu and offered excellent suggestions when asked. We had a wonderfully unhurried dining experience. I had the hanger steak and it was prepared perfectly. I can't wait to take our friends and family to this place.

We made a reservation at Galisteo Bistro after being given a recommendation by a friend from Austin, Texas. As soon as we walked in we knew we were in good hands. The room is beautifully appointed, and the staff were warm and attentive. We had the good fortune of having Arty as our waiter. Arty is very knowledgable and a... More

Galisteo Bistro was recommended to us by a local antique dealer, and it really is a gem. The food is New Mexico flavored but international. It was delicious and served with great warmth. The restaurant is not too noisy - comfortable and elegant without being pretentious. The owners are heavily involved in the entire operation, and it shows. They offer... More

A very personable bistro with a great menu prepared on site with art. As a frequent diner, I can say what we had here was something special, and memorable. Composition, subtle flavoring, deep understanding of ingredients, and preparation to the perfect point. The chef/ owner recieved my personal visit of gratitude.

2nd visit in the last 2 years. Food is always inventive. My wife's Peppadew chicken was superb. Tender and sweet and slightly spicy. I had the duet of Lamb. Lamb Chop and sausage. Really prepared well. Chocolate Decadence was a great finish to a great meal. Will definitely return.

The four of us had just arrived in Santa Fe and began our initial walk-around. After we crossed the bridge into the plaza area, we spotted, through the windows, this lovely, beautiful restaurant. We were especially attracted by the way the interior was lighted. As we peered through at the interior, we were spotted by a gentleman who came to... More
