It's a pretty restaurant mostly frequented by tourists or people on an expense account. The food is pretty average but nicely presented. It might be a place to take a date (once).

Had Thanksgiving dinner there, sure beat cooking. Lovely room and attentive wait staff. Root salad good, pork lion and turkey okay, onion rings rocked. Pork and turkey probably both a tad overcooked but hey, they were turning a lot of tables. I thought they were short pour on the wine by glass. But it was a nice fine dining experience.

We stopped in at 2:05. Open table said they were open until 2:30. They had just stopped table seating but we were just looking for a glass of wine. The hostess very rudely told us they had "stopped seating". No recommendations for other places to go or anything else. Very curt and haughty. We have eaten at Michelin star restaurants... More

Located in downtown of Santa Fe. White walls , locally typical architectural setting, bright , esthetically pleasing colorful ceilings ! Artistic ambiance with unique creative cousin . Highly recommend !

A few nights ago my wife and I, for the first time visited the bar area of The Compound. We have rented, for three months a home a mere few hundred yards from the restaurant and thought it could become one of our cocktail hour spot. So far, so good. We both ordered a glass of the same Italian wine.... More

We stopped into the Compound for lunch. We had a delicious salad with a nice glass of crisp, cold wine. The atmosphere was laid back fine dining. Would highly recommend.

I was there for a business function, so the food was a buffet, and I can't comment on the price. The buffet was uniformly excellent, from the traditional southwest dishes to the more generic ones. Vegetarians will be happy with the quality and variety of those choices. The staff was excellent. There appears to be free parking in back, unusual... More

The appetizers were all very good. Foie gras & prawns. The broccolini appetizer was good, not great. The main courses were OK. The steak was good, the guinea hen was dry & a bit over salty. The wine list is extensive & good but pricey to say the least.

The food and service were wonderful. I had the giant prawn appetizer and the tenderloin of beef for entree. It was full of flavor and cooked perfectly. My husband had the fois gras & sweetbread appetizer and game hen for entree. Flavors were "exquisite". Wonderful evening.

Hard to know how to rate this place. Our lunch was delicious and service was excellent. But the setting is rather pretentious and is probably a hit with the California artsy folks who flock to Santa Fe for over-the-top jewelry and clothing. The interior could be anywhere...LA, Palm Beach, Chicago. We had to wait quite a while for the host... More
