January 9, 2017. We actually had to wait for this place to open....we had to grab lunch before our trip to the airport...and what a pleasant surprise!!! My soup of potato and leak arrived in a ceramic container to be poured on the empty dish which only inhabitant was a little round toast covered in some kind of cream or... More

The Compound's Beef Tenderloin with Foie Gras and Béarnaise Sauce is out of this world. Excellent service; extensive wine list. The only disappointment was the Creme Brulee.

We really enjoyed this restaurant which is one of our friends' favorites. The four of us enjoyed dinner on a quiet night. Last year I took a guest and left very disappointed after having overcooked hamburgers and ho hum service. This year, with my wife to celebrate an anniversary things were much better with both good service and perfectly prepared food. A hamburger again and mushrooms on polenta. The Compound is an eclectic space, with great art, designed by Alexander Girard, and low ceilings that enhanced the coziness as we sat and watched the snowfall from our table at dinner. It's a pretty restaurant mostly frequented by tourists or people on an expense account. The food is pretty average but nicely presented. It might be a place to take a date (once).

Had Thanksgiving dinner there, sure beat cooking. Lovely room and attentive wait staff. Root salad good, pork lion and turkey okay, onion rings rocked. Pork and turkey probably both a tad overcooked but hey, they were turning a lot of tables. I thought they were short pour on the wine by glass. But it was a nice fine dining experience.

We stopped in at 2:05. Open table said they were open until 2:30. They had just stopped table seating but we were just looking for a glass of wine. The hostess very rudely told us they had "stopped seating". No recommendations for other places to go or anything else. Very curt and haughty. We have eaten at Michelin star restaurants... More

Located in downtown of Santa Fe. White walls , locally typical architectural setting, bright , esthetically pleasing colorful ceilings ! Artistic ambiance with unique creative cousin . Highly recommend !
