We don't frequent expensive restaurants very often. This was worth every penny. The food was exquisite, both in taste and preparation. We sat in the bar and Alejandro (Alex) was wonderful. Service and conversation was way above normal. We would definitely eat there again (and...More

Enjoyed a lovely lunch and a of wine on the patio. This place is really cute. If it's nice and you can eat outside I recommend a table of the patio. Just charming. Our service was excellent and the food amazing. We had the polenta...More

Really enjoyed the food --unusual but not "strange". Pricey but worth the experience. Wait staff very friendly and competent. Maitre 'd had a bad attitude and wasn't warm or inviting (bad 1st impression).

We went here for lunch in the middle of a gallery-hopping day on Canyon Road. What a lovely respite! I sipped a glass of prosecco and enjoyed the "stacked salad" while my husband enjoyed a glass of Sauvignon Blanc with his polenta. The elegant surroundings...More

The food here was as good as any place we ate in Santa Fe, but it was the service that stood out, not just from our waiter, but from the young woman who assisted him. Free parking , too.

This is one of the fine-dining restaurants in Santa Fe. I like it for lunch because they have a great pastrami sandwich. Also they have good salads for lunch. For dinner the menu is varied and tasty. The service is always good. The restaurant is...More

Smart casual would be fine. Remember if you dine outside to bring something warm.

I cannot recall if they had any private rooms. I think if you contact them they may be able to set you up in some way.

Description
Mark Kiffin, celebrated chef, owner, and author of the Compound Restaurant, has won the James Beard Foundation award as one of America's Best Chefs. The Compound is Santa Fe's premier restaurant with Chef Kiffin's acclaimed seasonal Contemporary American cuisine derived from Santa Fe's rich heritage of regional and Mediterranean influences. The New York Times, Gourmet magazine, The Wall Street Journal and Wine Spectator have all selected the Compound as Santa Fe's favorite. Equally impressive is the attentive, highly knowledgeable and friendly staff. Chef Kiffin's menus focus on the exclusive changes in seasons such as hearty braised dishes in the fall and winter using apples, pears and cider from local harvests, osso bucco and porcini risotto while in spring and summer feature fresh local vegetables and naturally raised organic lamb and delectable strawberries.
