Though we arrived at 7:30pm with no reservations, we were seated right away, next to the fireplace. We started with house-made salsa and guacamole made table side. We then ordered meals ranging from Pollo en Mole Poblano to Crab Enchilada. Everything was excellent. When a crisis arose with our youngest member and some of our dinner party had to leave... More

Excellent food with great menu selections of Southwestern Cuisine. Atmosphere is pleasant and inviting. It was obvious people were enjoying themselves with a lot of birthday celebrations. Service was friendly and efficient. The fresh salsa and chips were exceptionally good. Each of us had a different dish and satisfied with our selection. It is a short drive north of Santa... More

Great authentic southwest Mexican food. The salsa was fresh and just the right amount of heat. One persons soft taco was a bit oily, but all other food was very good. Helpful friendly wait staff kept the drink glasses full.

Good food. Very good friendly service. Cool atmosphere. Seems like a locals place, which we prefer going to, figure if the locals want to eat here, so do we. The servers knew many of the patrons by name on a Sunday night.

We learned through experience to skip the caesar salad which is not particularly special and the sangria, which is prepared with some orange slices and not much else fruit. However, one is seated by the welcoming maitre d and greeted by very professional waiter. Fresh chips and a well made and complex salsa are served immediately. We had a delicious... More

Don't let the address fool you. This is not in Santa Fe. It is about 10 minutes north of the Santa Fe Opera, which makes it about a 20 minute drive from the Plaza area. Their signature appetizer is guacamole prepared at your table. In addition the other menu items are uniformly quite good. The bbq ribs are popular and... More

This is a well regarded restaurant, but it kinda left me flat. North of Santa Fe, it is a large and typical Santa Fean building with typical Mexican restaurant interior style. A waiter came to our table and mumbled something about guacamole and my wife said "yes". Looking at the menu I discovered it was Guacamole Especial and it is... More

I have visited this restaurant multiple times over the years and always been pleased with the food, the menu and the service. While it is about 5-10 miles north of town, it is worth the drive. And make sure you have a margarita and their guacamole made right at the table.

Stopped in for dinner and was pleasantly surprised. Tamales are house made and very good. Enchiladas and fish tacos also yummy. Worth a visit if in Santa Fe area!
