A local told us her husband was performing there and enjoyed coffee and a gluten-free meal that night while families sat around listening to a local folk band. Is in the building with the community access radio station

I had lunch here and chose to try the banh mi sandwich. This was my first banh mi and I think it will turn out to have been a unique experience. I came away with the impression that this was more like a Vietnamese falafel sandwich than something authentically Vietnamese. The sandwich was a ciabatta bun which encased four large... More

I really want to love the Larkspur. The location is great. The building is charming and charmingly decorated. Sometimes there is live music- banjo or guitar. Unfortunately, I have had too many exceedingly long waits for food only to be disappointed in the quality- salmon chowder with crunchy raw potato in it for instance. I have had a good meal... More

The food is very good and the prices are moderate. There is live music in the evening. We had very good, friendly service.

Off the Celebrity cruise ship, we were looking for a different Alaskan dining experience, and we found it here. Easy to miss it if you didn't know it was there. Small place, and the mismatched tables and chairs added to the funky ambiance. We had the grilled fish sandwiches, local beer, and salmon chowder, and everything was very good. The... More

No reservations (don't believe them when they say they will give you a reservation for a large group). We were told that morning that they would have a table set up for our group of 15 for 5:30 pm. Thank goodness two of us shows up a 1/2 hour early b/c the afternoon staff was clueless. Service was awful, awful,... More

Went in to have some soup and couldn't resist trying the salmon chowder. It was different VERY thick with lots of vegies like carrots but not a lot of salmon. Wasn't bad wasn't good just different and VERY Filling.

Great little place that you might drive right past if you did not know it was there. The staff is super friendly and the food is good. The Salmon Chowder was amazing, and the Reuben was just right! I saw several things on the menu that I will need to go back and try.......maybe tomorrow! :)

I like cafes with character and if I lived in Sitka I would frequent the Larkspur. It shares a house with Rave Radio, the local station and though there is a certain randomness to it all, the coffee flows, there are some amazing baked goods-- the chocolate gluten free cheese cake was divine-- hearty soups, well stuffed burritos, salads and... This funky little café is right down on the tip of Sitka proper, where the bay meets Sitka Channel, facing Japonski Island. Apparently the inside of an old cable house, it's all wood and mismatched tables, with a coffee bar counter, local and interesting other beers on tap, and wine by the glass. Their specials are creative, and all the... More
