We had a fun dinner. Wait staff was extraordinarily attentive Fun view of the waterway. Shrimp was very good even though I am not a big fan of deep fried. Salad fresh and generous. Fish n chips were exactly what you hope for. A pleasant surprise after such mediocre reviews!

Good food, nice to sit outdoors and watch everything happening in the harbor. Nice menu selection. Not open all of the time--so check hours.

The restaurant, which overlooks a small boat harbor in Sitka, is a nice little restaurant. It is located in the Totem Square Inn. The Dock Shack has a breakfast buffet in the morning, and lots of selections for the rest of the day. It has a good selection of local brews, also.

We hit the Dock Shack in the early evening. They kindly let us have an inside table near the windows, soas to enjoy the view, even though we were only having cocktails and appetizers. The waitress was very gracious. Our friends dined here once during our Sitka stay and were satisfied with the food. I also noted they have karaoke... More

I came to the Dock Shack for the seafood - specifically, I wanted halibut as that's what i crave when I'm in Alaska. Service was great and halibut 7 chips was delicious, though a tad overdone. Unfortunately, the coleslaw tasted old and one bite convinced me I didn't want any more. The halibut & chips basket was $24 at lunch,... More

Four of us went to dinner at the Dock Shack. Three of the four of us split two meals; ravioli and a fish variety platter. Our fourth had a hamburger. The fish was tasty and had a nice variety of salmon, halibut and shrimp. Sauces also were varied and provided added flavor. We were able to sit outside on the... More

Go for the view, but the food is mediocre and overpriced. For lunch, we had a great outside table on a warm day, and it was very pleasant watching the boats come and go in the marina. We shared the Sitka plate for $32. It included a small piece each of grilled salmon and blackened rock fish and three coconut... More

Stopped for a late lunch and had a burger And flatbread pizza. Waitress was attentive and food was great. Could use better signage as when you enter from the hotel it's hard to know if it's open or not.

There is outdoor seating for warmer days and windows that look over the bay when the weather is marginable. Their clam chowder is excellent as well as their sandwiches and grilled salmon.

The dock shack is a modern cafe in the Totem Square Hotel. It has pretty good, if standard fare. Be sure to check out the photos of old Sitka in the hotel hallway.
