I had a Filet that was cooked to my liking and we had lots of different appitizers and they were all very good. Prices were in line with the restaurant you could order reasonably or go higher as I did for the filet. Service was good considering we had 23 people in our group. Try it I think you'll like... We are glad that you had a nice birthday party and shred your thoughts. We have helped folks celebrate birthdays for more than eighty years. We try to add some of the great seasonal specialties to the menu both helping out local farmers and having some new items from time to time. Thanks again and we hope to see you... More

We had a big family gathering at the Fort recently and the both the service and food could not have been better. There were 27 of us in the group and Jeff - our server - was the best. He made it a wonderful party! Everyone was pleased with the appetizers (great super huge pretzels and fried brie), their entrees,... More

Thanks for your nice words. Large parties can be a bit of a challenge, and we are happy that Jeff did a great job. Our menu is a bit smaller than in the past, but we try to make sure that all the meals are tasty. A giant pretzel and some fried cheese are a great start and make the... More

Thirteen of us had a fantastic early dinner at The Student Prince. Everyone really enjoyed the special menu that had for the day and the special giant pretzel that they serve is awesome. We also had some great beer from the bar and some wonderful deserts. A great place, fantastic service and atmosphere!

Mike, we would like to thank you for your nice review. Mother's Day is a tough day in the restaurant business, and large parties can be a bit of a challenge. It is a pleasure to learn that people had a good time. Sharing a giant pretzels is a great way to start a meal, especially when accompanied with a... More

Had dinner, we each chose German specialties which were delicious and as expected, very filling. I had to have a good sized portion boxed. Excellent friendly service

Terrific authentic German restaurant and bar with wide selection of draught and bottled beers. Come here just to view the collection of hundreds of beer steins and wine bottle openers. Food was very good.

Thanks for your nice review. Our collections of steins, corkscrews was started in 1935 with about six linear feet of objects. We now have shelves and shelves of items. We have never been able to make an accurate count of just how many thins are on display. i think that this might be termed the Heidelberg principle of uncertainty. We... More

I would never have expected to find such a terrific German restaurant here. The setting in the Old Fort historic building along with the Bavarian decor was perfect. The food was outstanding - we had several different entrees and each was terrific. We also loved the giant german pretzel appetizer. Service was friendly and efficient.

The atmosphere here is warm and inviting - we loved strolling around the the restaurant looking at the great collection of authentic German plates, beer steins, and glassware. Have not had german food in a long time. The place has style and atmosphere, and a menu to boot. Lots of options - something for everyone (including my vegetarian daughter). We were pleased by your review. We are best known for our Germanic food, but we have a lot of other options on the menu. I liked the fact that you said that we are not "fine dining", that phrase tends to be associated with reservation shaming, arrogant servers, small portions and high prices. Thanks for the posting and we... More
