Café Zelda is a charming restaurant featuring French and American cuisine. The clam chowder is outstanding. The main entrees and desserts were exceptional. Low key, comfy and welcoming. Definitely going back!

Delicious seafood, wine, and service. The grilled fish was cooked to perfection, the scallops tasty and not over-cooked/rubbery. The chowder was hot, hearty, and flavorful.

Had dinner here with a party of nine. Service was excellent and the ambiance was nice. Food was variable. Raw pork belly on two of the dishes. Overcooked chicken on another. Salmon dishes were very good as were the scallops and pasta dishes. All in all okay.

Had dinner there recently with friends. Service was ok. Food was ok. Menu at the restaurant was not the same as what we'd found online earlier that day. Server said web site has not been updated. That left us with few food choices. We ended up with the Hangar steak-which was tough and salty and more like ball shaped top... More

Small cafe' with simple furnishings and crowded, attached bar. Food excellent. Try the Chicken-fried Lobster or leg of lamb paired with a fine wine selection at a reasonable price. Nice dessert menu and excellent, quite friendly service. Would return again. Parking difficult, most of year.

We went there for a special occasion because my friend considered it one of the best restaurants in town. The atmosphere was pleasant enough, and we liked the appetizers - gazpacho soup and a tuna salad. But the entrees were a disaster. I had a tasteless steak tatare in Europe so was looking forward to the unusual entree, but it... More

The restaurant has changed hands and we were hoping for better. Service was good but the food was pedestrian at best. Wine list was again just Ok.

We spend several weeks in Newport every summer and have several favorite restaurants. It had been quite awhile since we dined at Cafe Zelda and thought we'd give it another try. We had a tuna appetizer and Caesar salad which was quite good. We are so glad we both ordered the duck with duck sausage because neither of us would... More

The restaurant section is a quiet cafe next to the bar. Had fresh cod with a light sauce. Nice table next to the window and good service. Menu included fish, pasta, chicken, etc. something for everyone.

There is an attached restaurant area, we stayed in the bar. Clients and bartender were friendly! Great drinks at mid-range prices. Extensive red wines to try! Bar area had great seating either looking outwards or at the bar itself.
