My husband and I went to Gomatei for dinner. We didn't want to eat at the food court, and I really like ramen. I ordered shoyu ramen and gyoza, and he ordered teriyaki chicken donburi. My food was very good, but his chicken was a little too small and there was too much rice for the meat, which was disappointing.... More

The restaurant is nothing fancy. However, the food was excellent, reasonably priced and the waiters gave us the right amount of service. The waiter suggested that we try the broth first. This turned out to be a great suggestion since I liked the Shoyu Reman and my wife preferred the Tantan Ramen. The Kirin was delicious as well. I highly... More

One of our favorite ramen places is Goma Tei Ramen. We routinely get the Vegetable Tan Tan Mein, which provides a healthy does of veggies and noodles, with the spicy kick of the Tan Tan broth to add some excitement to your lunch! We bring our family, grandkids and visitors here and everyone loves the large choices of entrees and... More

I was just walking around Waikiki International Marketplace when I stumbled upon this restaurant. It looked nice from the inside and was busy. I tried the Curry and rice and it was average at best. Probably I didn't pick the right dish but the curry had barely 3-4 pieces of chicken and didn't feel filling. The good thing is they... More

We had the curry and it was fairly average. They automatically give themselves a 16% tip which is fine with us. No big deal. I wouldn't go back. There are many more Japanese restaurants in Waikiki.

Not too crazy about the other dishes because the ramen is hard to beat! The tan tan broth was spicy but you can ask for no spice. Everything about it was delicious. We shared one bowl because it was so much.

Loco moco with golden curry on top - yum! Service was a bit off...had issues splitting checks at a table for eight, but the food was delicious.

My high end Top Ramen was pretty good. Our waitress let us know about the 16% tip she was going to get. Nice of her to share that, as we NEVER saw her again! Nice tip for something she did not earn, we even had to ask someone else for our bill! Went to leave, asked how the service was,... More

The new international market place in Hawaii is a must visit place....particularly at 6pm (sunset). After seeing the ceremony we went to have some Japanese upstairs....I had the ramen...it was delicious.

Very good service and nice food. Gyoza and ramen were very good. You can add extras like Choy sum. Very reasonable for this area.
