Easier to get to and a little better parking situation at this new place. The servings seemed a little smaller for the price though. Lots of flavor choices.

We spent 10 days on the island this past week, and my kids were obsessed with shave ice. This was the worst one of the bunch for us. The flavors tasted old, and the staff never spoke to us. I wouldn't go back here.

We are picky about our shave ice. No crunchy ice for us!! This shave ice is legit. It is pure soft snow and melts just looking at it. I don't even know how they get it so finely shaved. Incredible. That being said, service here is done without any sentiment and feelings. No touchy-feely niceties. The girls barely spoke to... More

We walked from the Hyatt to Waiola's shave ice which is about 1 1/2 miles. It was worth the walk! The shave ice is fluffy and the syrups are really good. I liked it better than Matsumoto's on the North Shore. The syrup wasn't as sweet (which I like) and the flavors tasted much better. I had strawberry and mango.... More

I have been going here for years and always drop in when I am home visiting family. If you are looking for something refreshing and very local try this when you are in Waikiki. There is usually very good parking and a nice place to sit and enjoy your shave ice. My children love it and ask to go here... More

Waiola has the finest texture shave ice and best shave ice flavors. Best green tea flavor. Very high quality, but not the biggest shave ice quantity.

Some enjoy the one up north, I prefer Waila. Come often and try different combinations. I can't recommend because I don't know what you like, just choose what you like, don't be scared to try new things - it's just shaved ice!

This is the smoothest texture of shaved ice I had while on the Iceland. Almost felt like you were eating ice cream!!! They have delicious flavors to choose from as well. I got an extra large bowl and it is about the size of a large cup but it doesn't spill everywhere since it's in a bowl! Definitely recommend.

Original flavoured ice shavings, super refreshing on a hot day. Located on a quiet street, so parking can be challenging at a busy time/season. Go for the Azuki Bowl with Mochi.

Great shaved ice on a warm day, and isn't that daily in Hawaii? Sweet and flavorful compliments. The mochi balls are chewy balls with a great contrasting texture. The custard also gives you a surprise under the chilly ice. A community is always close by. Shirts are for sale to rival the famed Mqtsumoto Shaved Ice from North Shore. But... More
