We came here for one of the dinners on our honeymoon - we had exceptionally attentive wait staff and a few special touches since they new we were on a special trip. It's laid back and tends to be more casual dressed, but dont let that and the location fool you! The food was very good - we elected not... More

While we agree with several other TA reviewers that the dress code and atmosphere of Wong's is a bit lacking, it still has the fame of the unmarked building, 3rd floor restaurant, a bit difficult to find, etc. All OK.....my wife didn't think the food was quite worth the expensive prices, but the Onaga was excellent. I thought everything was... More

Have dined here twice previously and enjoyed, but that was 12 years ago! I remembered it as a much more upscale dining experience, but that certainly is not the case anymore. This is not a fine dining destination anymore, so please be advised. Patrons had on all kinds of attire during our 8:15pm dinner including men in tank tops. Let... More

We had reservations for February 14th, Valentines Day, and were shown to our seat right away. As it was Valentines Day, they only had one menu with 5 courses and wine to pair. The wine was $50 a piece...not bad price for the venue. The appetizers were alright with a fish carpaccio that was very good. On the other side... More

I dine here often and have never been disappointed. The food and the service are the best in Honolulu. Expensive, but the value is here for what you pay. Wine service matches the food. A great sommelier drives the wine program.

We wish we could have tasted the wonderful food being described. I was quite proactive and had made a reservation a month before our reservation for my husbands birthday dinner while we were in Hawaii from Canada. When we arrived the doors were locked and lights were off with a sign indicating they are closed for repairs. This ruined the... More

Well...this is the first review i have ever written for trip advisor because i was so disappointed in this place. I am a very reasonable person. The appetizers (ahi poke and ahi salad) were superb. We finished our apps and they sat on our table for 30 minutes. The waiter did not pour the wine, nor was he attentive. OK,... More

We went there one night on our visit to Hawaii. Even though the restaurant had great reviews, we found the food to be tasteless and portions insanely huge. Not quite sure how they claim to be a fine dining restaurant, because in our experience this was anything but fine dining. The only good part was server was quite attentive but... More

the place lives up to the hype, the cuisine is still innovative and the flavors are well thought out. the asian influence blended very well with the western style cooking. and the service was quite good, the previous table was taking longer than usual so we got seated about 15-20 min late, the hostess comped our first bottle of wine... My husband and I tried the tasting menu with wine pairings. Overall, the food was very good and the service attentive and friendly. However, the whole meal felt like a whirlwind. New wine appeared before we emptied the last one, and when the last forkful of a dish went in our mouth, the plate was whisked away and replaced with... More
