I had read good things about this restaurant and wanted to try it. A friend took me to dinner here and we didn't look at the menu ahead of time so be aware that it is costly but it is so worth the price. You have the choice of a 4 or 6 course meal and they offer wine pairings... More

Our exceptional dinner started with a delicious watercress soup and ended with an even more delicious dessert of coconut shave ice with yummy condiments. Each and every course tasted fresh and healthy, a definitely lighter cuisine than the traditional French cuisine. I have some food allergies and they were very sensitive to them and adjusted some of the ingredients and... More

While I considered Chef Mavro as more of a special occasion dining option in the past, I've decided that the experience is just too good to not to go more often! The menu is creative, the food is delicious, the service is superb and Chef Mavro is a pleasure to chat with when he pops out to the front of... More

For those who appreciate good food and service, this is an absolute gem of a restaurant that should be on every foodie's "bucket list". Every course sent to our table was both beautiful and delicious. Highlights of my meal was a Sumida Farm's Watercress Soup appetizer, Keahole Lobster Salad and the Salt Crusted Onaga with Tomato-Ogo relish. Perfect execution, flavoring... More

This is really the best place on island to go for a vegan meal. The vegan amuse buche was to die for. My husband had the 6 course menu complete with wine pairings. I had the vegan menu, 4 course. We both enjoyed the desserts, so very delicious. We cannot afford to go here frequently, though we would love to.... More

Definitely an eating experience. Leave the kids and the non foodies at home and treat yourself and a love to to a special dining experience. You can choose four, six or more courses. Each course is unique and beautifully displayed.

The menu is very minimalistic. There is either a 4 course meal or a 6 course meal with/or without a wine pairing. The courses were on the small side but well prepared and a great presentation. Each course was brought out with an elaborate explanation however the time between each course was a little on the long side. I highly... More

The best restaurant in the world. The food and service is exceptional and each of the course choices will not disappoint you. This is a family owned restaurant and Chef Mavro and Donna should be very proud of what they are offering to Oahu and vacationers from all over the world. We have spent every significant anniversary with them for... More

The restaurant is well located at South King Street, Honolulu, with ample parking space. Inside the restaurant, the light was dim, the decor was on the wane, and the table set against the wall where we were seated was not so comfortable. There were only two choices of course menu for dinner, with or without wine pairings. Three of us... More

When you make reservations at Chef Mavro, you know you're going to experience world class cuisine and wine pairings. That's why we took my visiting sister and brother-in-law from San Francisco for a night of epicurean indulgence tasting all of the divine creations on Mavro's Summer in Provence menu. We thoroughly enjoyed every course! We knew we were in for... More
