Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

This restaurant is serving all very fresh and delicous. Although we have waited more that hour to get a table however it was worthy. The soup, spring rolls and mango sticky rice made my heart warm. Highly recommended

The go to restaurant for fresh Thai food and some refreshing drinks and fresh juices. This is a very popular place with tourists and the food and service does not disappoint. It is located in the heart of downtown Vang Vieng. Dishes are fairly reasonably priced.

Went here both evenings we stayed in Vang Vieng. Excellent high quality food with lots of variety to suit most tastes. Tables are at a premium and filled almost as soon as they become vacant which is testimony to the quality, value and first class service from the very engaging people who look after your order.

Promoted by our driver and other travelers we arrived around 5pm eager to be wowed by some awesome Thai & Delectable Thai food – Food wise we would not be disappointed. We ordered the Duck Tamarin with Seaweed, the Prawn Hot Pot and Hawaiian Pineapple Fried Rice. All dishes arrived uniquely displayed. The Duck Tamarin was without a doubt easily, the tastiest dish we have had in all of Laos. The prawn hot pot and Pineapple fried rice were also very delectable. Unfortunately while waiting to use the in use washroom we noted a female staffer exit the washroom ahead of us, pass by the sink without stopping to wash her hands before heading back into the kitchen. This apparent lack of proper hygiene is very disturbing and we would not recommend or return to eat here based on this observation!

It took them more than 45 minutes to bring our food. People who came after us were served first. I understand that they prepare each dish fresh but does that really warrant waiting almost an hour for your lunch to arrive and watching others get served before you. Will think twice before returning

Last minute decision to go here, and were very satisfied! We read it's high on TA list for Vang Vieng, so decided to give it a try. Arrived and the outside bench was free, so lucky us. After we were seated, lots of others came and waited in a queue, we were so happy to get a place so easily. All dishes we had were incredibly, such as Pad thai, fried rice with pineapple served in a pineapple, spaghetti bolognese. Prices were very reasonable and the place was very cosy! Highly recommended!

We are very patient about service in SEA but this was a little rough. We never received our second entree and it took us over 45 minutes to pay, they just kept ignoring us and doing other things. Strange service I can handle, but I got extremely sick from the crispy pork belly, like violently ill. It was the only thing I had eaten that day except for a croissant so there is not a doubt about what made me sick. Beware.

I was recommended to go get #46 and nearly decided not to because I wasn’t in the mood for pineapple fried rice. But I did it anyway and was so happy I did. One of my best meals in SEA, and reasonable prices. Massive portions and it’s served out of a pineapple. Will return the next time I am here!! Amazing service as well

We noticed this place as it had a queue outside and figured this is probably a good sign. So queued for about 20 minutes and eventually got seated. Highly recommend the Crispy Duck Pancakes for a starter - incredible! We also had a duck curry, weeping tiger steak (not tiger meat), Penang Curry and Spring rolls, all was delicious. We visited twice in our three night stay - it was so good!!

We stumbled across this restaurant on our first night in Vang Vieng, there is always a queue (which is a good sign) but got seated fast. The food was 10/10!! We did wait a little while but the staff explained that everything is cooked fresh so takes longer, we didn’t mind as it was worth the wait. We came back a few nights later with some friends as it was the nicest restaurant we ate in. I’d recommend the duck pancakes! The staff were so friendly and thankful. Khop Chai Lai Lai!!

We had a curry each. My other half had the duck curry and I had a Thai red chicken curry. Both were excellent with big portions. The rice was lovely too. The restaurant was very busy and you have to wait a bit for the food to come as it's all cooked to order. Wasn't a problem as there were lots of people to watch. The price was really reasonable too. Only downside for us was that we were next to the loo, so there were a lots people passing by our table and the space was quite small.

Well I love mango so this name popped out at me like hellooooo - we had to try it! We were not disappointed. The food was so flavoursome and delicious and we will probably end up there again tomorrow. The staff are really smiley and sweet too. Great prices. No bad points!

Superbusy place when we came for dinner, tourists only. There is a warning sign in the restaurant that food is freshly prepared on site and might involve a wait. I can confirm there is a long wait and my main course came long after my partners’ main. No issue if you are sharing of course but we weren’t. My main was very tasty but my partner’s chicken stir fry dish was very bland and one of the least tasty meals of the whole holiday. Also given the relative prices compared to other ‘local’ restaurants we had been in Luang Probang and Vang Vien, it felt a little overhyped to us.

We ate here three times whilst staying in Vang Vieng and found it to be the best quality food in town. There isn’t a huge selection of great restaurants in town. This place serves fresh food, that’s piping hot and good portion sizes. I would recommend this place. I would say the wait time is quite long as mentioned on previous reviews, but the food is served fresh. I would say Laos in general has a long wait time so this place is no different. Happy Mango is more expensive, but again that is a reflection on the quality.

Really tasty Thai food! We got the whole fish fried with sweet chili sauce, and the Rad Na noodle. Both were excellent and exactly like dishes you would find in Thailand. A nice break from the wonderful Lao food we’ve been eating for the last couple weeks. Prices were good though maybe a little higher than your typical local restaurant. We will definitely go again!
