Ok nothing special, only 2 types of fish on sale today, Chips were those you get frozen in the super market, bit like Macdonalds ones, do we have to go to England to still get proper home made style chips? 3 of us ordered the same fish with chips, little strange coming in one giant parcel, hard trying to put... This isn't a bad place to eat. The food is edible for sure. Had a few dodgy kebabs on rare occassions. The one problem with this place is that it shuts to early. But as far as costs go, its not the cheapest but not to expensive.

They make the best hamburgers in town and great chips. You might have to wait a few minutes while they cook your food but it is worth the wait.

Visiting Wanaka with a famly recently and found this little place pretty good value. The fish was really nice (blue cod) the Hoki...not so good but a fair bit cheaper. Lots of chips with the meal serves. I wouldnt say it was the best i've ever had but with 3 teenage boys after a day skiing it did the job.... More

We stopped here while going through Wanaka and wanted something we could take on the beach. Ordered 2 fish and chips, 2 sodas and 2 sides of ketchup and aioli. Each miniature side sauce was $1. Although the meal portions were huge, it was definitely a case of quantity and not quality. The fish was flavorless and greasy. The fries... More

I've visited this takeaway in all seasons and in Winter the food is pretty impressive. My last visit was at the height of the tourist season and frankly a huge disappointment. Most of the fish menu was unavailable. What we did have was indifferent with poor batter. The chips were average. We had a burger that was excellent. I thnk... More

We stopped in here for some late night munching. We both ordered sandwiches and chips, or fries as we call them. The sandwiches were huge and delicious and I fell in love with the giant bag of chips/ fries!!! They were so good. Thank goodness I do not have access to this place every day.

My husband and I are traveling the world, literally, and we've tasted our fair share of fish n' chips. I have to claim that BOABOA have some of THE best fish n' chips in the world. Order take away and sit on the beach and you'll have one of the most perfect meals paired with one of the most beautiful... More

Now called Boa Boa, we had a delicious serving of blue cod and chips for lunch and ate across the road at the lakeside. The fish was tender and tasty, chips cooked just right and a fairly generous serving for the price.

Old fashion good takeaways with a twist. Nice menu that was easy to understand, friendly staff and good food served quickly. Just had some chicken, but it was so good we went back for more straight away. Recommended. You can see the influence of the well trained chef/owner when it comes to flavours and balance.
