Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Really lovely traditional Austrian restaurant. We ate here twice and the food was delicious on both occasions. The staff were very friendly and helpful - lovely atmosphere

Though the restaurant was full, we could wait at the bar with our drink. A table freed up very quickly, and food was served fast as well. Very warm atmosphere, due to the very friendly and accommodating staff. Traditional Austrian dishes and salad bar. Very...good price quality. The portions were definitely large enough. I would certainly go again, and I recommend the place to friends or family whether with kids or without.More

The best restaurant in St Anton AND Pettneu am Arlberg. We ate here 4 times in our 7 day trip as it was the best quality food and the staff were so lovely. Salad bar to go with your food, lots of veggie options and...even a vegan menu. Can not recommend enough! Reasonably priced compared to St Anton which is expensive. We didn’t eat at any other restaurant in the area because nowhere was as good!More

Busy restaurant in the small village which reflects the quality of food and service. Well worth booking to make sure you get a table but the hosts will do their best to fit you in. Enjoyed two lovely meals and as one was a birthday...meal the staff gave us a special treat with fireworks, schnapps and a glass of fizz.......very nice touch.More

We had dinner here with our four young children, and were hugely impressed by how well the restaurant managed with our cheerful chaos. On arrival we were given colouring books and crayons and the children were pointed in the direction of a big toy box,...and we were left in no doubt that our children were actively welcome to play and enjoy themselves. This was a huge relief having encountered much less children-positive attitudes around the region during our holiday. The food was also excellent. Provision for both vegetarian and vegan diets was great to see, and the food itself was very tasty and well cooked. We had spinach Knodel, a vegan veg medley, and a pizza, all of which were eaten up with enjoyment to the last crumbs. Would highly recommend this restaurant, particularly to families.More

We had 2 evening meals here and afternoon snack one day. Food was excellent standard on each occasion. Traditional but some interesting choices - wild boar, venison, vegetarian options. Friendly service. Would advise booking during winter season. Wood panelled room at front was delightful. Nice...fresh salad buffet.More

Popped into this restaurant for a drink and a meal on two evenings. Friendly, good hearty Austrian food. Local bar and relaxing atmosphere. Book if you want to eat. Always busy.

Had great typical traditional "Tiroler" dishes. This is the place you need to go, if you still want real traditional local "Tiroler" food. It is das to see a lot of places and restaurants, which do not serve traditional dishes. You come to this region...for skiing and mountains and this means traditions ad not fast food, chiese or italian food. Price is top for the value.More

Group of us went to celebrate a family birthday. The staff made some lovely gestures and were very friendly. Food was excellent and more reasonably priced than St Anton. Wines were expensive and they ran out of Apfel Strudel. Otherwise excellent.

We ended up eating here every other night all week, and we'd do the same again if we ski St Anton again. Service was friendly every time, the prices were absolutely reasonable, and the food was delicious Tyrollean. We never had a bad meal, and...we tried quite a bit: Französische Zwiebelsuppe (French Onion Soup) - Good, but without the melted cheese over the top like it usually gets in the US. Tiroler Gröstl (Austrian version of Swiss rosti) - I love this stuff; it's effectively bacon and sausage hash browns for dinner. Completely delicious, and a massive portion. Seriously consider asking for the half-portion. Grillteller (mixed grill) - Grilled pork, beef, and turkey with home-fried potatoes. The meat was all tender and juicy, and again a huge portion. Ragout von Wildschwein (wild boar stew) - The best wild boar I've had in a long time. definitely more gamey than steak, but not overly so. The bread dumpling is the perfect way to soak of the brown gravy. Mohr im Hemd (warm chocolate cake with ice cream) - Somewhere between a lava cake an a small bundt cake. Delicious, sweet, chocolatey, and all around awesome. Make sure you save room for it!More

I was on half-board with the family B&B pension (Alpenruh). The meals were much better than the usual for half-board with real Austrain specialties several nights, and an alternative option for the main course. I felt very welcome, even as a single diner. Beer good...too!More

Ate here twice during a recent trip to the area. The food was excellent, only exceeded by the service. The first night they kept the kitchen open for us late, and when we asked for a taxi to the hotel, the owner's son drove us...instead. We went back with a larger group a few nights later, and the food and service were just as good. Even got the same ride home. Definitely a great place to have dinner.More

This is a typical local restaurant, good food at a reasonable price. The extra service offered was a pick up and return drive if you stay in close surroundings and obviously that holds a reservation as well. Efficient and friendly service.
