This restaurant combines informality with superb food, well cooked and served by a small friendly team.

This restaurant changed hands and as we were regulars before we were unsure how it would go. It is very good. Very welcoming with fresh produce. Very amiable chef and English speaking front of house (his brother)..lots of restaurants in Pezenas in the summer but this stays open all year.

Great find on a cold wet October night. The owners are brothers...one the chef the other front of house. Entrecote with seasonal vegetables were cooked to perfection. The owner who served us spoke very good english. We enjoyed so much we returned the night after. Highly recommend

This was our first sunday in Pezenas, and whilst we normally eat in the square, we felt it looked a bit shabby, since our last visit, and changed menus, so we ate here. This was our first time, and we were not disappointed. Glass of champagne, 3 delicious courses, each one better than the last. Service was excellent too and... More

This restaurant has changed hands in recent months and it is no longer what it was. It has kept the same pricing structure as previously but unfortunately not the quality of food. The food would be fair enough in a cheaper restaurant but not creative enough to merit the 31 to 37 Euros that a 3 course meal costs in... More

A couple of days in France and went to L'Amphitryon on trip adviser recommendation and it did not disappoint. Warm welcome and great service for a Sunday lunch. My wife and I ate the same and we both thought delicious. Great experience and an exit through the "secret door" was great.

Oh my goodness, we booked this restaurant for the wedding dinner of my son Andrew (Northern Irish) and his beautiful bride Melissa (French) and the food was absolutely to die for. From the beer and canopies reception served by great staff, to the exquisite food by the most fabulous chef. All the guests gave him 3 cheers at the end!

Odd experience - the daily menu, which all four of us chose, was very basic - a tepidl, practically tasteless chicken stock "bouillon " sparsely scattered with pieces of foie gras. Served in a bowl without a plate. Piece of beautifully cooked duck on a bed of Vichy carrots. "Financier " cake with chocolate sauce & a scoop of ice... More

We were a family of four for lunch here, the food was very, very good. The lunchtime fixed price menu was fabulous - cauliflower veloute with egg and truffle; confit duck with lentils, and apple crumble with red fruit sorbet - all perfect, and excellent value.

We had a great evening dining at L'Amphitryon. We looked for somewhere special for our last night in Pezenas, and were not disappointed with our choice. The menu was limited, and unfortunately the tasting menu was not available. However, the food more than lived up to our expectations. The entrecôte steak and boeuf were both delicious. The wine selection was... More
