Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Still extremely rude staff. We tried to get a bowl of water for our dog, after 20 mins of various staff acknowledging us but then ignoring the request. We were then told to ‘relax’. We said we are relaxed we haven’t even attempted to try...to order food yet. Just wanted something for the dog! Food fairly average. Much better restaurant further down the slope - try La Pente A Jules instead. Much better!More

We ate three times for lunch, and as a party of four, we tried several dishes, and all were delicious. It's busy, but all the staff work hard to give excellent service.

Always nice food and decent portions. Had the best Christmas Day ever sitting in the sun eating plat du jour of duck a l’orange. The waiter was really nice and the whole experience was relaxing and enjoyable. We shared a chestnut cake for dessert which...was very tasty.More

We found this restaurant on day 3 of our ski trip and what a lucky find it was! We went back everyday for our lunch. Great food and great prices! None of your €15 burger deals, proper, freshly prepared delicious meals. The staff were very...friendly and helpful, even giving us a round of shots when we said it was our last day. It does get very busy, so I’d recommend reserving a table, or just sit outside with a beer until a table becomes available. It will definitely be our slopes lunch retreat on our next visit!!More

We ate here four times during our week in Flaine and every meal was pure perfection. The Plat du Jour always exceeded our expectations of ski fare on the slopes . We found the smells as we ski’d past impossible to resist and the meals...were never a disappointment . The staff were very friendly and efficient and even though it was always busy, the quality and service was never compromised. There was a lovely atmosphere sitting in the sun and watching skiers brave the two red runs close by… luckily the restaurant is also accessible by an easy green run! The vin chaud and hot chocolate were also the best that we tasted during our stay…. And Suzy’s Brownie was also delicious if you have room after their generous portions! We would definitely recommend eating and drinking here.More

Had lunch, good food and precise service. Better avoid the rush lunch hour, we stopped skiing at 1,30 pm and found a free table quite easy.

We thought we'd give our legs a little rest and popped here for a nice drink and quick nibble. It's right on the edge of the slopes so it's great for a stopping point to catch your breathe and have a good drink and the...French fries that are super tasty. The staff are very friendly and you get served fairly quickly. Definitely worth a visit.More

The nachos with chilli are great to share. I’m not sure I could ski again for a couple of hours after any of the main meals (though they looked excellent). Even a single portion of chips will feed a family (served on a shovel!). The...worst part of the restaurant is that it is accessed by a very flat green run which over several trips over 2 weeks this year and last I’ve never managed without having to pole along the last stretch!More

Nice food and good service. Salad is pretty awesome. Probably the best place to eat on the slopes that we found at Flaine.

Went to L'Epicea for a treat on our final night in Flaine and it lived up to all that we hoped it would be. A little pricey, but you get what you pay for, and the warmth of the welcome and pleasant atmosphere made for...a very enjoyable night. The food quality was excellent and it was also plentiful meaning that we all left feeling like we had made an excellent choice.More
