Our group of 24 had lunch there, with pre-ordered choice of fish or meat. The meat turned out to be venison, which was prepared well, and the fish was great. Lovely view from our table.

The atmosphere is relaxed and informal. You do not need to dress for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The quality and variety of fod choices is superb. To ensure a table by the window, make a reservation for a specific time.

when staying at the Kviknes hotel it is usual to eat breakfast and dinner smorgasbord here. Decent selection, very nice help, but main dining hall is huge, chaotic and loud.

We stayed at this lovely hotel so had 2 breakfasts and 2 buffet dinners. Enormous selection for both and something to suit all tastes. The fish and seafood selections especially were as good as it gets. Service (tea and coffee) was very efficient and friendly...More

The setting right on the fjord is lovely but this buffet is a bit too full of elbowing tour groups. Moose and reindeer are not in the summer offerings but there are about 6 salmon preparations and such Norwegian favorites as fish pie. All the...More

I could write about the views and the hotel (both wonderful) but the breakfast and dinner made me regret to have only one stomach. Just do it, totally worth it!

It's open to non-guests. Go online to find the price. If memory serves, it's something like $35 USD ... But I don't recall for certain.
