My wife & I had dinner here on Sept 28th 2016, it was amazing!!! We had notified the restaurant of my seafood allergy & they had no difficultly looking after me. We had the 6 course tasting menu, which was amazing!! The staff explained every course to us, which was very cool. The head waitress, wine waiter & server were... More

My friend and I visited Alameda during a 3 day visit to San Sebastian. The taxi took 20-10 minutes. The restaurant itself was beautiful with a very homely country feel. The service was impeccable. I have a food allergy and they could not have been more accommodating, making changes to the tasting menu to suit my allergy. We were allowed... More

Everything about this restaurant is wonderful: the widely spaced tables, the calm reassuring ambiance, the wonderful staff, the fact that it has been in the same family for three generations..........and then there is the food. From the amuse bouche of gazpatcho paired with caramel / foie it punches well above the one star weight. If there is a God HE... More

From the start we began enjoying lunch. Amuse was gazpacho and the weirdest, most surprising choclate salt caramel coated foie. Mind blowing. Entrees of steak tartare with marrow and a cerviche of scallops on almond. Main course of monkfish was perfect and pigeon with mole sauce was sublime. As a caution, the pigeon is very rare, warm in the middle.... More

We were so excited about visiting this restaurant from the other side of the world. I booked 5 months in advance and they couldn't find my booing when we arrived. I was asked to prove the booking by showing an email. This said the food was pretty impressive. We had the 5 course tasting menu with wine match and our... More

We never would have found this hidden gem in Basque country without our local friends to guide us. The setting was classy, modern and warm with a dining room and terrace behind a local bar. The dishes are inventive and imaginative with an avant-garde twist and are accompanied by some of the best regional wines, with an extensive menu of... More

My partner and I visited for Sunday lunch and had expected more given the one Michelin Star of this restaurant. Whilst my Thermal poached egg in garlic soup and roasted pigeon in mole sauce was excellent my partner's lobster salad and roast beef were not outstanding. My lava cake for dessert had no lava and my partner's baked cheesecake was... More

from the surprising foie gras in caramel that comes as an amuse-bouche, to the tomato starter (you need to try it! it's the proof that in a top restaurants simple ingredients don't make a simple dish) and down to the pigeon main that starts with a traditionally-cooked meat (it remembered me of my grandmother's duck in onion gravy) but then... Loved this restaurant, excellent seafood items with beautiful presentations, delicious. The sommelier was wonderful, choosing our wines by the glass for us, all very good. We made a late phone call on our last night and they were very accommodating.

We went for lunch and chose the tasting menu which was 6 courses. Every single course was absolutely delicious! The staff were exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable. It was worth every penny spent! If they're still have the bottle of Allende Rioja blanco 2012, get it! Delicious wine!
