Thanks so Much to Verity and the team for a lovely 3 course meal for our yearly family get together. All food was well presented and very hot. It came out altogether and very well organised. So much meat on the roasts. We all had...More

Dropped into the Castle Tavern for lunch with friends. We ordered haddock, chips and peas, ham, egg and chips and cottage pie from the lunchtime specials menu, each priced at £4.95. The haddock was off, so we ordered the scampi. The food arrived promptly and...More

A nice pub in the traditional seafaring style located near the Gosport Bus Station and Ferry Terminal. Nice to walk around the area and near the High Street. Staff pleasant. Some nice fairly local beers. Pub already taking orders for Christmas. Local characters drink there.

Nice pub on the main road near Gosport Marina. Food portions are enormous .. but it is a case of quantity over quality, not that the quality is poor, but it's not the best pub grub in the UK for sure.

Really good food. Huge portions. Book ahead as they often get fully booked. Really good pub atmosphere.

First sight of the Castle reveals a rather shabby but immaculately clean pub. The welcome from Vi and her team is always warm, the beer well kept, and the food tasty and plentiful. A reliable watering hole.
