Booked ahead with impression that it was busy but there were spare tables. Good choice of beers. We visited on pie night. Pies were OK but seemed to totally lack seasoning which spoilt it a bit. Seems popular though.

We visited for a meal and I chose the steak pie, wow, it was the best pie I've ever had, amazing crust, flavour, chunky steak and the most wonderful gravy. Lovely welcome, friendly efficient staff and lovely chatty locals. So relaxing, a lovely evening.

We came to the Kings Arms for our first dinner of our week stay at the adjacent Holiday Property Bond property and we both had the lamb, which was delicious. The staff were friendly and the service was good. They serve a good Black Sheep...More

Visited for an evening meal after reading good reviews on Tripadvisor. Did not live up to expectations I'm afraid. Bar was quite busy, frankly very gloomy decor that needs brightening up. Staff were pleasant enough. Ate in the restaurant part. Menu looked good but did...More

Maybe we hit on a difficult lunch time. We found our beef sandwich v chewy and as we were one of a few people in it had no atmosphere. Think everyone else was in Humble Pie cafe

We have been to the Kings Arms several times. The food is usually of a good standard, with a wide choice available, with something for everyone. Some typical pub classics, plus a number of specials. Value: probably a little expensive compared to the quality, but...More

As far as I am concerned this is the Drovers from All Creatures Great and Small. Gutted that James, Tristan et al weren't at bar... Settled for a bar lunch...ample portion size, good service and good choice of ales and ciders all in an Olde...More

I'm not staff at the Kings Arms just a customer but I am sure they have vegetarian options available. I know they have dairy free options as my grandson is allergic to dairy products. If you give them a ring I'm sure they... More

I don't know about the restaurant, but the menu in the bar is just fine, so even if you can't get into the restaurant with the dog, you will enjoy the pub.
