We had planned to come to Rhyl on our bus day ticket and came to this Wetherspoons establishment. It is very clean and the young lady that served us was polite and friendly. No problems with our pints of real ale. Would come here again when in the area.

I don't normally have very good luck in these establishments but I thought there would be something on the menu to tempt me. We thought that we would have gammon, egg and chips. Unfortunately, there were no eggs?!!! We then opted for cheese burger and chips with two alcoholic drinks which came to £14.00. The food came promptly and was... More

The Sussex saved our night! I was having a reunion after 20 years with 3 friends. Our night started awful and having walked out of The Harbour in Kinmel Bay for terrible service and rude customers, we ended up in The Sussex. What a different class of people! The staff were friendly, polite and so helpful. The clientele also friendly... More

Best place for a good few drinks in Rhyl. The beer always tastes fresh and nice. The pints are Really cheap. No annoying background music. Plenty of seating. Food is OK but not great.

It is a 'Spoons so it is functional - the range of drinks is good and the choice of ciders is impressive, more so when everywhere else in Rhyl seems to just provide Strongbow. We ate there and it was particularly average, the food filled a hole but certainly did not live up to the menu's promises - I think... More

This is the second time we have been and still shocks me at the price of lager, a pint of carling only £1.79. Pub has a good atmosphere would recommend a visit

Typical Wetherspoons! Although not the tidiest, in decor which could do with a freshen up and definitely replacement carpet. Put that aside happy, friendly waitresses, who cleared tables very quickly, food arrived in good time, hot tasty bake potatoes with chilli and chicken curry. Unlimited coffee refills a bonus.

Came for curry night. Naan was rock hard and the tikka was Luke warm. This place blows hot and cold food wise - never the same twice

I tend to go in Wetherspoons when I'm in an unfamiliar place and fancy a quick inexpensive bite to eat which is why I called in the Sussex. It's not fine dining however my fish and chips were delicious, probably the best I've had in a "spoons from Invernes to Exeter. Will definitely visit next time I'm in Rhyl. My... More
