This is some of the best pizza we have ever had and we have had a lot of pizza. We were surprised that we could make that statement about a pizza place on a remote Mexican island. While on the island, we at at Los Peleones, El Chapulim, Viva Zapata, and La Parrilla Juan. Those are all a little more... More

I've lived on Holbox for 13 years and have obviously tried ALL the Pizza offerings on Holbox. Cariocas is the BEST! Thin Crust, Real Mozarella Cheese, Generous toppings, & Great prices. Some of the other Pizza Joints on Holbox are living on their reputations, not naming any names. The Owners of Cariocas are REAL ITALIANS. Also to mention their Salads... More

We ate here on our first night in holbox and we were not disappointed! Our waiter was friendly and full of information. We shared the Capris salad to start which was big and very fresh, the only thing that would have improved this dish would have been some pesto. We both had a pizza as our main. They were delicious!!... More

This was the first meal we could hardly wait but was not impressed it was quite tasteless simply pizza crust with cheese and some lobster. Expensive $40 pizza. Worth a try but nothing to write home about

OK you are on a remote island in the Yuctan and you see a pizza place. Would you ever expect good, no great wood fired oven pizza? Well here you do and more. Great pizza, thin crust wood fired, with seafood to boot. Friendly super casual environment can eat in or take out. Right in the heart of Holbox 1/2... More

Had the lobster pizza here and was not disappointed. Even without the lobster, the pizza at Cariocas is one of the best I have ever eaten. Service here was also great.

Can't say enough about it. Price was great, pizza was fantastic. It really is some of the best pizza I've ever had, and I can't believe I found it in Mexico! Thin, authentic, crispy crust and a delicious, flavorful sauce. Would definitely recommend stopping here if you're on Holbox.

We had the veggie pizza and it was very good---a thin crispy crust with just the right amount of tomato sauce. The white wine was good and it was fun to sit outside and watch the people go by on a rainy evening in Holbox. Plus, our waitress was so friendly and pleasant that it made eating there a real... Proper Italian pizza base (thin and crispy Naples style) cooked by an Italian. So the toppings aren't the real thing (only a close approximation of mozzarella), but in Holbox this is BY FAR the best pizza. Staff are very nice. Good value meal out, especially as you could share a pizza unless you are particularly hungry or have a large... More
