Large patio cover with thatch roof. Very elegantly furnished with lavish vegetation all around. Nice food presentation and very tasty. Plenty of choices for vegetarians.

Our favorite meal in the Yucatan!! We are vegetarians and had the queso empanadas and then our favorite dish, Vegatales Almendrados, a carrot squash pumpkin stir fry in an almond sauce that just was so delicious ! We will return again and again, everyone around...our table were talking about how wonderful the food was! There was a wait to be seated so be sure and make a reservation if you can, if not…wait! It is worth itMore
the environment is beautiful as well as the inside of the restaurant. the food there was really delicious and the staff is very kind
This place was good, but nothing to write home about. The cochinita pibil was good (not exceptional) and the relleno negro was super bland and tasted mostly of charcoal. The setting is nice, complete with a little playground for our 4-year old, which made it...worth it, but overall, I don’t understand the hype.More
I love this place. OMG it is so good. I was there on a Tuesday afternoon, the whole place was packed, after eating there I know why. The food (had salbutes cochinita with habenero plus the guacamole) was a 10/10. Service is perfect, atmosphere is...extremely beautiful with tablecloths. I'd be here a few times a week if it wasn't so hard to get to. The village of Izamal itself is absolutely gorgeous, you would be remiss to leave it off your schedule.More
About a month ago, my wife and I ate at this restaurant. It was a memorable experience. Every detail was near perfect. We enjoyed the wonderful setting and ambiance. We felt like being inside a tropical house. Our food was very tasty, well prepared, and...graciously presented and served by lovely waitresses, all wearing traditional Maya dresses. My Poc Chuc of pork was delicious and the Dzic of venison my wife ordered was sort of unique. To top it all, we ordered mixed sorbets of tropical fruits for dessert; coconut, mango, and guanabana. It was a great ending to an unforgettable food and culture experience. Kinich is well worth the journey from Merida. Do not miss it if you head to Izamal.More
Truly one of the best meals I have had in all of Mexico! The 75 minute ride from Merida was well worth it, not only was the food exceptional but the restaurant itself was beautiful.I had the Yucatan dish conchita pipil and my wife had...the pok chuc was was also amazing. Highly recommendMore
What an incredibly authentic meal. Let the restaurant staff recommend what to eat, they will suggest amazing local specialties to try. A wonderful experience.
Just stopped in for cocktails after a long walk on a sunny afternoon, but this place is so gorgeous, I felt I needed to say something. The drinks were great and they brought us some nice nibly bits. You always hope the food will be...at least as good as the decor, but this place may be worth it for the setting alone.More
Prices are definately to high for what you get. Portiones are for kids but never for adults. Service is poor, only 4 tortillas for 2 persons. We ordered cabernet sauvignon wine and got chardonnay. Never ever had such a low class wine for 590 pesos...since I remember. Save your money and nervs and eat somewhere else. Restaurant looks nice but you pay 90% just for look. Final review, the worst restaurant on our 32 days Mexican trip. This wrong decision to choise this restaurant costs us more than 1800 pesos for two!More
Amazing Mayan food and service. A Jem and likely one of the best places we have eaten while in the Yucatan region. Traveling with another couple we ordered several different items amd taste tested them all. Everyone was over the moon with the flavours, and...dishes. A definite must tryMore
Our waiter, Eliel, greeted us with utmost courtesy and explained each dish and drink with fine detail. We didn’t order more food or drinks just because we physically couldn’t, but we certainly would have loved to. The drinks had a special local touch, and the...traditional Pib is a must for both mexicans and foreigns. We had the chance to see how the handmade tortillas were made, and how they unboxed the Pib from an underground stone oven. Beautiful music, beautiful vibe, 10/10 would recommend.More
Outstanding Yucatan food, and excellent service. It is not inexpensive, but in my opinion is excellent value for money. I tried the "Venado Almendrado" and it was truly outstanding. The environment is very beautiful, lots of plants and local crafts.
We had two meals at this lovely restaurant, both of which were great. Lovely staff and amazing cocktails! It gets quite busy on a Sunday so don't arrive too late or you may not get a table. Highly recommend!
I came in hot, sweaty, hungry and tired. I left cool, dry-ish, full to the brim and still tired but only because I ate so much! As soon as we sat they turned on the fans over our table which was so cooling and just...what we needed. The food... DELICIOUS! The pictures do not do the food justice. Our server Giovani was so kind and insightful. The drinks touched a part of me I didn't know still existed. We came to Izamal for the sights but stayed for this restaurant!More
