Second time we have been here this year. Eating outside in the garden is nice ( if not windy ) and inside, has a warm cosy atmosphere about it. My choice...a Little Karoo lamb curry and my wife...the Mystic Tin vegetarian platter. Both of these dishes were fantastic and the service was efficient and friendly. Was very tempted with the deserts... More

The Mystic Tin was given to us as one of a number of several options for dinner when we stayed in Montagu for the night and when we looked at the menu we decided to give it a try. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and there was a good ambience to the place. The food was delicious, cooked... More

This restaurant was a surprising treat! Such amazing food and lovely service from our waitress. The ostrich steak was absolutely delicious, and the price was very decent. Certainly would recommend to others.

Charming little place but not overly busy. Food was good, we all had steaks and the plates were hot...something I like with my hot food

Only went in for a late afternoon beer. Looked closed earlier. Staff friendly. Seating under the tree in the back garden. There is also a little gift shop in the back garden, with a friendly owner. Did not eat here, even though it was recommended by the lady at the tourist office earlier the morning.

Tripped on this magical spot last week. Lucky find. Great service and food. Glad it was mentioned on Trip Advisor or we might have missed it.

This is a pub, restaurant, art gallery combined and has a quirky ambience.3beers brewed onsite are all good and have a UK feel to them which may not be to the taste of locals who are used to the light lagers which abound in AFrica. Nice garden at the rear and a small dining room plus small bar area. We had a... More

I'll be honest - we had booked in advance and when we walked past this place during the day, I very nearly cancelled our reservation! It looked a little shabby from the outside and we were certain that we'd be the only diners that evening. How wrong we were! The indoor eating area isn't huge and every table was taken.... More

Cosy, friendly restaurant which was surprisingly empty on a Friday night. The craft beers - honey ale and dark - were both excellent but the highlight was the fish of the day - trout with pernod butter. Delicate and sublime. Kudu steak was good but not as exceptional. Good value, drinkable wine by the glass
