We enjoyed a lovely evening sitting in the courtyard of the Mystic Tin, the food was great with the Ostrich Bobotie and the Oxtail being winners. The kids could explore and we could enjoy our dinner.

Delicious meal had at the Mystic Tin. Relaxed atmosphere but delicious food - the ostrich was exceptionally tender and cooked perfectly. Five star quality without the price.

A very quaint restaurant, very good food and excellent value for money. Delicious smoked trout starter and a very good loin of wilderbeest : my wife having an enormous fresh trout. Pity there were only 4 other diners, so not a lot of atmosphere.

Although we only stayed for a drink, the service was very good and they have a water mist spray on their balcony which one does really appreciate when visiting Montague in summer (38 degrees plus). They also have a nice courtyard amongst some trees as well as a shop.

Absolutely delicious lamb. Friendly quick service and beautiful and peaceful venue. If you are lucky you might meet the resident owl.

A great find just around the corner from our guesthouse so we were able to walk there and back. The Mystic Tin offers really great craft ales and a good choice of local wines. The food was top class, especially the ostrich which is fast becoming one of our favourite meats. The service was very friendly and efficient, something we... More

Second time we have been here this year. Eating outside in the garden is nice ( if not windy ) and inside, has a warm cosy atmosphere about it. My choice...a Little Karoo lamb curry and my wife...the Mystic Tin vegetarian platter. Both of these dishes were fantastic and the service was efficient and friendly. Was very tempted with the deserts... More
