About
Long Beach is a collection of street stalls surrounding the sitting area. It is located outside and offers many cuisines including Malaysian. In the area there are not so many restaurants offering Malay food so I thought it appropiate to add this 'restaurant' to the listings, although most would probably not class it as a conventional one!

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Don’t judge a book by its cover. I last visited this food hall ten years ago and couldn’t wait to try it again. No matter which stall to went to the tucker was sensational. My favourite was two stalls = Satay man and the Spring...roll fella.More

We enjoy this spot to eat at night. Lots of variety, prices are much higher than George Town equivalent. Gets pretty hot at night. One of my favourites use to be the satays but I noticed the sauce was soooo very sweet this time. Not...pleasant at all, Lot’s of vegetarian optionsMore

Day 1 in Malaysia, this was where we found ourselves for dinner. It was the best ever! I wish I lived nearby! You literally find a table, then walk through the hawkers ordering hat ever you fancy to your table. You pay each individual stall...when they deliver to you at the table, so be prepared to pay individually for each stall. Please take tissues and sanitiser with you. The toilets are a hole in the floor and a tap outside! Not your usual western luxury, but with those bare essentials you can cope! Don’t miss the satay chicken..l still have leftovers in my hotel fridge….delicious!More

Abundance of food variety in a mass hawker style stalls. Good for family and friends travelling to penang. It has halal and non halal section. Paid public toilets are well maintained.

We've been here in BF for a few months now and we visit Long Beach hawker market maybe once every fortnight. Our favourites are the Indian (top right corner - Enca - and the Chinese stall that does great dumplings - located between the entry...points). Anything else we want for our nightly evening food is located at Jalan Sungai Emas (main traffic lights area at gas station). The drink servers at Long Beach can be "tetchy" ....but we know where those ladies have their designated areas and we now sit elsewhere, where the guys are very helpful. It's not nearly as busy as it used to be, more so because the main market along the road is not what it used to be. It appears to be closed Wednesday nights nowadays but that could change anytime I guess. It gets 4 out of 5 from me because of the history I have with this place over the past 17 years. Not nearly as good as it used to be but hey ho, so many changes since 2020 for everyone. It's very much an eating place for tourists visiting BF.More

AMAZING FOOD! Sizzling Plate Noodles was our fave!! Me and my partner went to this cafe every night of our trip. It’s like a huge food court style restaurant. You go to the vendor, make your order, and then sit at your table and they...bring it to you! We would try 4 different cuisines a night, without spending over $20 USD for two adults with multiple drinks. Amazing value. Special note - Sizzling Plate Noodles prawns are a MUST TRY!!More

This place was within walking distance to our Hotel although we could also get a bus there and back if we needed to. The variety of the food available caters for all tastes. The food is very cheap compared to Australian standards. All the Staff...were helpful and friendly and tables were cleaned as soon as people left.More

Not really. Where the strip of stalls are, they have already taken what’s left of the pavement or what was before. And it’s just after a curve in the road so not ideal to be parking. Maybe park on Jalan Sungai which is main... More
