Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Personally I would recommend only stopping here for a medium-expensive drink. The drinks were fine and our waitress was very smiley and attentive. The location is good. The food was not at all successful. I ordered the moule frites and was disappointed to find that...they didn’t come with any sort of sauce - just sat in a bowl of their cooking water. I was only able to eat around 1/3 of the portion as most of the rest were either broken or too closed to risk eating. My husband had the truffle burger which was raw and cold in the middle. Both portions of chips were soggy and underwhelming. We left with a bill for 52 EUR (2 plats, 2 drinks, water) and disappointed bellies.More

There was a band playing in the square so we stayed to listen and bought some drinks. At 18e for a medium beer and 1 aperol spritz we only bought the one round!

Rude, unhelpful, unpleasant service. Waiter appeared to go out of his way to inconvenience us, and then appeared to try to short change is. A beautiful location, but I suspect there will be better options for a cafe.

Rip-off café !! My wife and I landed there on our way for a snack. We ordered beer for me, tartare the boeuf for her (low to medium quality) and yes, I did share here snack. When we wanted to pay, they added 7 euros...because we shared. 7 Euro’s for extra fork. When I complained about it they suddenly pulled out and exemplary menu in which they had a note that they are allowed to add cover charge. We didn’t see the menu we ordered from the board placed at the entrance. They didn’t care for the same as they didn’t care for a negative review.More

We were on a group excursion and were given free time for lunch in Roussillon. Gia didn’t fancy a big meal at the posh place round the corner, so we chose Café des Couleurs. The weather was rather chilly, wet and windy, so sitting outside...or on the terrace wasn’t an option. We had a corner table just by the terrace. I can imagine it would be a delightful place to eat with a view over the hills. Service was sufficiently friendly and efficient. I ate the steak tartare which was excellent. It came with some of the best frites I’ve ever eaten. Gia had the cuttlefish, which also very tasty. With two glasses of rosé, a Coke Zero and a café Calvados, the bill came to 60 euros. We were very pleased with our lunch.More

Worst experience ever. If you're unable to fix a decent burger, how can you run a decent restaurant? I asked for a well done burger and twice got a raw meat burger, absolute disgrace. Disgusting hamburgers. The chef is blind or just totally incompetent. I...think combination of both. This was uneatable and was off course charged at our bill. One advice, pick another spot for a good diner. They took the burger back to the kitchen after i told them it was still raw, then brought it back the same and afterwards simply ignored me. Travelled all continents and never this louzy service. Shame on youMore

We visited this restaurant in June 2019 and the name was different - Brasserie Les Couleurs was on the awning. We had a good meal there. I had a penne pasta with pesto and it was very tasty. We were also served bread with our...meal. We had good service and would recommend this restaurant if in Roussillon.More

Aight so first of, we get to our table and excuse me sir, wtf is that. Looks like a goddamn bday dinner. Then we get our drinks and there is a fricking lemon in my coke AAAAAND a plastic straw!!!! I mean, have some respect...for the turtles... When we want to order our food, guess what the waiter says... I'll wait... SHE SAYS WE CAN'T ORDER BECAUSE THE CHEF IS BUSY. Woman. We're hungry. Let me order my food fam. While eating, the power to the restaurant goes off like 5 times and there is no light??? When does that even happen my G. I ordered a hamburger and my thoughts on this dish is basically summarized in the word "shiiihorse". McDonalds has better burgers. So in conclusion, can we even call this a restaurant? I'd describe it or call it a shiiihole tbh ngl smh. But the dessert was gucci tho.More

The most rude service ever experienced. Do not give this place your business. Nearly ruined my wife’s birthday. Luckily the next door cafe L’Escalier was wonderful.

Cafe has a terrific location on a beautiful town square and a terrace with great views. Real shame it is wasted on this poorly run cafe / restaurant. Food is passable only because of the suitable kids menu. Food selection for adults is limited. But...what makes this cafe truly disappointing is the service. Combination of slow and rude. Servers are not motivated and treat customers as annoying distractions to their evening. Go anywhere but here.More

Half the meals we ordered were inedible. When we told them we couldn't eat them we were met with hostility, threats, and rudeness from all involved. BEWARE.

Asked for a table for 3 on the terrace or indoors, there were empty tables all around, but waiter was rude, blunt and positively hostile for no good reason that we could detect; we were friendly tourists wanting a good dinner. Went next door to...the Bistrot de Roussillon where we were made welcoime and given a delicious dinner in excellent company on the terrace. There were still empty tables on the terrace of the Couleurs when we left the Bistrot de Roussillon so they were not fully booked - just RUDE!More

We hadn’t booked this restaurant but saw through from the street to the lovely sunlit terrace and thought it would be a lovely place to eat. The terrace itself was full, but there were tables a little further back, and a couple in front of...us were duly seated. But we were told in no uncertain terms that there wasn’t any room and we’d have to sit in the darkest area. We weren’t too inspired by this, but were hungry so asked if we could sit out the front, on the tables out by the quiet street. We were told they’d “see”, implying they were soooo busy, they weren’t sure if it would be possible. Obviously this place believes they are doing you a huge favour by letting you eat there. To be fair, the older gentleman who served us out front was much, much nicer, friendly even, and saved the day. The food was average. So my advice? Don’t bother.More
