Very good small restaurant in the city center. Everything was perfect, big portions, especially ravioli with truffles was excellent. Next time visit you again, thanks a lot!

This is a small restaurant located in the lovely town of Montalcino. The staff we most friendly and accommodating. The dishes we sampled were: vegetable soup with onion infused olive oil. It was fresh and delicious and not too thick like some of the potages that seem to abound in tuscany. Fresh mozzarella ravioli in a walnut sauce that was... More

Recommended from a local. The Pinci with wild boar ragú are wonderful! The Bistecca didn't look bad either. Tiramisú is nice. Definitely the best one in Montalcino.

Don't expect a fancy restaurant but the food is of exceptional quality. Do allow the waiter to advise you. This was the second time in two years that I have visited this restaurant and both occasions were fantastic! The owner Antonio will also help you select an appropriate wine for the meal you have chosen. I had the guinea fowl,... More

Recommended by hotel and we were fortunate to get in. The food was outstanding and everyone in the place was speaking Italian and having a ball. We had a great time.

Weak eyes visited many times and as ever Re di Macchia didn't let us down. Roberto and family have this place working like clockwork. Great food, a good wine list and a friendly atmosphere.

The owner and host is a very congenial fellow that didn't mind us ordering one three course menu for the both of us. The lasagna is fabulous and so was the rabbit salad. The wild boar entree was good but seemed a bit too similar to the Braised beef with the same sauce. Wish they had an outdoor space to... More

Small restaurant, quite good service and the food was good. We had the zucchini pudding and bruschetta as appetizers: tasty but nothing to rave about. The same could be said for our main courses. One was beef with potatoes and sauce and the other was ravioli with mushrooms. Nice wine selection a little on the pricey side. Total bill with... More
