First time at Oliver's, but very impressed. Fin who oversaw the dining area, could not have been more helpful or courteous. The food was really good. My black squid ink battered sea bass was delicious. Will definitely be returning.

Went to celebrate for a friends birthday, waited over 45 minutes for food, when it came out was luke warm, the lamb could have walked home on its own it was blue, when complained got presented with another small plate of meat, did not even...take the meal away, and give a fresh dinner. Although we did not pay for the food, the waiter proceeded to throw the drinks receipt on the table and whislt fiddling with the card machine dropped a dirty fork on her. No offer of a free drink, or dessert and a bottle of white wine was £30. Absolutely never, ever going there again !!More
Thanks for your review. I was present when our waiter dropped the fork, on the floor. Sadly such things happen. You were offered a replacement meal, which you refused. I then asked if you would like some extra meat, which you accepted. The meat was...More
Worst Brunch I have ever done. Staff were rude. Food was cold. Service for a brunch was very slow. The Dj couldn’t play music due to something being broken. Half hour later there was a power cut. Not their fault. How ever we was left...freezing cold. No complimentary drink not even a hot drink. We asked the manager and were told no. Waste of time and very disappointed AVOIDMore
Thank you for your review. As we did tell you, the power cut was unfortunately outside of our control, and I am sorry for the disruption this caused to your brunch. Obviously, I am sure you can appreciate that due to the power loss, we...More
Very nice set lunch for £25 which included a bottle of wine for the table (although sadly I could only drink one glass!). The beetroot cured salmon was excellent, followed by chicken breast in a wild mushroom sauce. Friendly service and nice atmosphere. Would definitely...visit again.More
Visited Oliver’s for the first time for a family Sunday Roast. Both food and service were excellent. Nice to meet the Chef at the end of the meal. Well worth a visit and hopefully be back soon
Took a friend for an evening meal and we were both really impressed. Presentation & flavours were amazing! The complimentary bottle of wine with our meal (we went on a Wednesday) was most welcomed!
Amazing food fantastic & very friendly chef who makes a real effort to come out & meet us So glad & excited about the new management 100/10 cannot recommend enough
Fabulous evening meal with family to celebrate my birthday. I took my young granddaughters too and we were well looked after. There was a good choice of food to cater for everyone including some nice vegetarian dishes. The service was excellent and the food was...delightful, not to mention the cocktails!More
We heard there was a new chef who had recently started at Olivers and thought we would give it a go for my mums birthday. This time the food had drastically improved and the service was great considering a busy saturday evening. My partner loved...their steak which was cooked to perfection and I loved the burger! They catered for the kids and it was great to see empty plates. We were made aware they will be having a new menu soon so we will definitely be returning! Thanks to all at Olivers and great to see some worth while changes.More
Lovely evening at Oliver’s. Pleasant ambience with chilled out background music, lovely cocktail menu and amazing food in the chic restaurant. Will definitely be back.
I reside in a property behind Oliver’s and have lived there for 8 weeks now. Every Friday and Saturday/Sunday nights from 3pm roughly onwards until early hours of the morning myself, my other half have been kept up from outrageously loud thumping music reverberating through...the walls. After speaking with several residents we will be touching base with the council to look at measuring the volume. It goes on from Friday to Sunday and last night on Monday went on Until 3am which is frankly preposterous. Several residents have made complaints and I have as of today Liaised with Medway council to look at a plan going forward to limit the noise as residents are finding it rather difficult to sleep at a weekend.More
Hi there, thanks for getting in touch, though we haven’t heard from you directly! I’m sorry, but this is not likely to be Oliver’s, not least, as we close at 6pm on a Sunday and are shut all day every Monday. The only exception to...More
Cocktails are great, went for food today and it was awful lamb was over cooked and tasted disgusting. Made me feel unwell. Not a great experience - thought giving the price it would have been nice but no. They did take the lamb off my...bill but I was hungry and left feeling still hungry and sick. Wouldn’t recommend going for foodMore
Olivers is a lovely place, nice decor, attentive staff and reasonable pricing. Let down slightly by the food, some was great, some was just average. I had the goats cheese and red onion tart to start, which was a little dry and overcooked. My lamb...main was also a little overdone and could have been seasoned more. The ratatouille that came with it was delicious though, as was the passion fruit creme brulee I finished with.More
We arrived a bit early on a Thursday evening, and we were staying nearby. We were shown to our table in a small dinning area, there was a table of 2, already on their main courses, a table of 5 next to us all having...exotic cocktails, and us 2. After being seated for near minutes, we asked for the menu, which we were duly given. We then waited a further 10 minutes and asked if our order could be taken bearing in mind. it's not a large menu. We ordered some olives and warm baguette to eat while waiting for our starters of pate and goats cheese, and eventually, they all arrived together, which was not the idea. Mains were lamb for me and a mushroom risotto for hubby, he found the rice to al dente, but because of the service decided not to say anything, until the lady on the table next to us, who had also ordered the risotto complained that it was not cooked properly and sent it back. The manager did come over when my husband mentioned about the risotto and very kindly sorted this out for him. Hubby had tart au citron for dessert Some seating out side several steps to get into restaurant, so might not be great for a disabled person, car park nearbyMore
We had a 3 course dinner here last night which went down very well indeed. Great food, a decent selection and a set price menu - though I was taken aback by how expensive everything is in Rochester. At least you are pretty much guaranteed...to eat well here, and service is excellent. I had salmon and chicken, all beautifully prepared and cooked. Surroundings are great too. This is probably the poshest restaurant in Rochester high street, but they avoid any snootiness. Cocktails were decent quality and good value at 2 for £12. We didn’t have much change left from £100 for the two of us, but felt it was the going price for the area.More
Thanks for you review, we always strive to provide the best possible food and service! We hope to see you again. -Luke, General Manager
