Dull, miserable interior with very average food. Not much buzz.... The best dish was the halloumi flatbed. .. The delightful, friendly staff make it bearable. ..

Great selection of food on the menu and lovely surroundings. Very peaceful for a lunchtime meal. I had the chicken and bacon salad and it was delicious. Staff very friendly. Can’t wait to go back!

Spending a lot of time on the high street you soon realise there’s not a huge amount of good quality, reasonably priced lunch spots. (The Garden House and Brettingtons being amongst my favourites for quality) but Quills is definitely up there!! They have a lovely...More

Nice cafe style restaurant roomy and typical Rochester low beams and decor; good selection of beers and drinks , burgers and skin on chips were excellent, we will definitely be going again and would recommend for real burgers and beer.

Stopped by for a bacon sandwich and a coffee. Very tasty and came up in good time. You have the option to sit outside on the street and watch the world go by. The staff are very friendly and the prices were reasonable. Would recommend...More

The café was virtually empty yet it took 20 minutes to serve seven drinks. The drinks were brought in three stages which meant that by the time the final drinks were served, the first set had been consumed. As the third set of drinks finally...More

A little chaotic and the entrance to the shop is a little bit less than clean (we were among the first customers on a Saturday morning, there hadn't been much traffic into and out of the place yet). Good menu and service. Coffee average but...More

Popped in for a quick lunch and we ordered jacket potatoes with bacon and cheese. The potatoes were clearly not fresh and had been reheated but were served very like warm. The cheese, which was cut up rather than grated, could not melt as the...More

At The Quills we are proud of our exciting and varied menu. We start the day with our hugely popular breakfasts and brunches which are available daily until 3pm. We have a great range of seasonal salads, sandwiches, snacks, sides and burgers to suit every appetite for lunch. Our cafe area serves a wide selection of homemade cakes and scones, or really treat yourself and book our indulgent afternoon tea. In the evening (Wed-Sat) The Quills transforms into 'BurgerKnights', our new concept in the best burgers we could create. Try a Halloumi Burger with Peanut Chipotle Caramel or a Krispy Kreme Bacon Cheeseburger. Finish the night off with a giant Freakshake or Hibiscus Prosecco cocktail
