Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

25 of us - I opted for the Prawn Cocktail Starter, Vegetarian Lasagne (with feta cheese - abs delicious) and cancelled by Apple pie order as there was no way I could fit that in! Still charged as set meal price, but others who had...it said it was scummy. The restaurant is stunning, beautiful log fire crackling away, service was excellent - and the Maître d was charming as she was welcoming. I live in Roybridge with my partner - will definitely be going back (now that we've found it).More

Walked four miles mostly up hill specifically for food as I read good reviews only to find the place closed, even though it had open online, really need to get this updated.

Wobbly table, not a great start. Service was okay, could have been better if we received a menu before asked for our drinks orders. Ordered the squid which was tough and the tartar sauce had a skin on it which made it look yellow and...old. Had the macaroni for my main, a safe choice i thought. There was so sauce in the pasta and the cheese barely melted on top was oily and rubbery, usually i don’t mind a clearly frozen garlic bread with a good pasta… however to add a frozen side onto a poor pasta was not helpful with my feelings towards the meal. Not a single persons plate went back empty and half a steak (£40 or so plate) was sent back at the end. I’m hoping for anyone else that we went on a bad day but nonetheless it was extremely poor and a waste of money.More

We booked a table at the Old Station Restaurant for the 10th of September. The restaurant is, surprise surprise, located at the Spean Bridge railway station, parking is limited and we ended up having to park on the road a couple of minutes walk away,...which wasn't an issue but worth making people aware in case they have mobility issues. The restaurant is quite quirky, it really is an old station building which has been converted into a restaurant, they've done an excellent job too, it's rather amusing to sit there having your meal and watching the Caledonian Sleeper pull into the station on it's journey from Euston to Fort William. We both had the Steak Pie, I got chips, my other half went with baby potatoes. Both meals were excellent, no complaints. We really enjoyed our meal here and would return if we are ever in the area again.More

We stumbled across this restaurant by accident due to our hotels location. Set in a remote location still a must for any visitor. The atmosphere, the building, the excellent food and the attentive owner and staff ended our lovely day come to a close feeling...more on a high. Thank youMore

Family holiday and we ended up going twice to the old station restaurant as food was so good. We all ordered different starters and mains and there were no complaints, food was fresh and tasty and staff were friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend.

We are regular visitors to the Old Station and it never fails to disappoint. The restaurant changed hands at the start of the season and Flo is doing an excellent job. Friendly staff and great food. Love the venison burger 😍

First time visiting with family since a change in ownership. No need for concern, amazing food and great service. Steak pie is amazing and the puff pastry crust thd best I've ever seen in years if travelling. This was our best meal in Scotland. The sweet potato tart was excellent! Our son tried the cajun chicken pasta, and we learned that it was a recipe our waitress had created. It's so cool the restaurant is willing to offer new ideas created by...their staff, and it was really great! We don't usually eat dessert at restaurants but we had to try some of these because they sounded so good. We liked them all: Scottish tablet ice cream with cheesecake (photo attached), white chocolate raspberry cheesecake, and the brownie (photo attached). Our waitress was so nice and helpful, and the location is really cool too right along the train tracks. We really loved this place from food to atmosphere! Highly Recommend!!More

Disappointing. Lovely set up and lovely staff, however the food is so over priced for the quality. We paid £20 or near enough for a fish and chips which was unfortunately tasteless. The service was polite and friendly but slack at times. For example our...starters came out at different times. And so did our mains. Wouldn’t be rushing back and that’s a shame as we had a good experience here last year.More

Stopped here for our lunch on the way to Invergarry on holiday. We had parked in the car park in Spean Bridge so it is a short walk up the road from there but there are some car parking spaces outside the restaurant. The food...and the service were excellent and the prices were not any more expensive than what you would expect to pay in this area. Small, well presented bar area and a lovely larger restaurant area with a lovely outside beer garden where dogs are welcome. I had the chicken burger with chips onion rings and a salad and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Sadly the hotel in Spean Bridge has now closed and all that is left is a very busy cafe and a take away chippie so if you are looking for something a little bit more substantial I suggest you go here. It has obviously been converted from the old railway station and is lovely inside.More
