The food was overpriced and terrible. The staff were rude and were rushing my partner and I. I would never even recommend this to my worst enemies.

Family hit the lunchtime set menu - really great. Excellent service and really tasty affordable food. Maybe a bit of bread with the soup/starters may aid enjoyment. Can't fault the ambience/music. Fantastic. Quality matches the cost. Try it.

Visited for Sunday lunch today following resolution of our voucher issue. Glad we did as the lunch was very good indeed. Empty plates for each course says it all, will definitely be returning as soon as we can

Got a table early evening mid-week without booking. Obviously gets busier at the weekend and during holiday season as not all the extensive restaurant was in use. Service was polite and unhurried - so nice not to be addressed as "guys". The restaurant was comfortable...More

If your visiting Cowbridge this restaurant is well worth a visit. Welcoming staff, lovely relaxed surroundings and in all the years I have been coming here have never had a bad meal. Food is fresh and well prepared whether it’s fish, meat or vegetarian.

Description
Our restaurant is set in one of the most historic buildings in the beautiful town of Cowbridge, and exudes a timeless atmosphere. In winter we continue the old traditions with our warming log fires, and summer brings outdoor dining in our lovely walled garden. We offer a wide variety of freshly prepared modern European dishes, locally sourced and carefully arranged by classically trained chefs. We offer a fixed price lunch menu, £16.95 For two courses, and an "Early Supper" menu served from 18:00 - 18:55 Wed. - Fri. Which at £17.95 offers a great value way to sample our fantastic food or if you prefer we also have our fantastic Ala Carte menu .The Market Place has become a bye-word for the best in food, dining and ambience.
