Popped in for a quick drink when passing and found a lovely little historic pub with all the trimmings. Lovely food was being served and the beers and ales made a change from the 'norm'. Well worth a visit .

A varied menu but decided on the beer batter haddock 'posh' chips and mushy peas. Very tasty, lovely light batter. Good service. The three desserts we had were really good too. Will visit again.

The restaurant has a very varied menu which I'm sure would contain a suitable course for gluten free eating.
