I attended Sandra’s Sicilian food class with my son. Food was delicious and the demonstration was very detailed. What I most liked about the class was it was not only about the dishes which were prepared on the night, Sandra also explained how to select...various Italian food including pasta and where to buy. Being from a non Italian background I found this very useful. All around it was a great experience and I strongly recommend to anyone interested in Italian cuisine.More
There's so much to love about Sandra's class. I was gifted a class for Christmas and went along to the Nonna / casalinga session. I can't recommend it enough! It was fun, entertaining, easy going, intimate, informative and above all - delicious! I come from...the same region in Italy as Sandra and am lucky to come from a family of chefs and cooks... and this was absolutely up there. 10s across the board for quality, taste and authenticity. I was fortunate to recieve a gift voucher which enabled me to attend a cooking demonstration and dinner at La cucina di Sandra. There are numerous different classes and styles of regional cuisine to select from. I went alone but Sandra was very welcoming and...the six other participants were good company to share a lovely evening with. Sandra did all the work and explained many cooking techniques and suggestions for where to buy quality Italian produce. The delicious food ( four course meal with prosecco) , Italian background music and very pleasant ambiance made for a very enjoyable and informative evening. Sandra was happy to answer any questions and was also interested to hear about my travels and those of the other guests. Highly recommended!More
Do it!!! We were able to celebrate a friends birthday with great food, fantastic instruction and tips and tricks on where to procure ingredients, in a private session with Sandra. Doing this, as it drizzled outside, in such a great environment, FULL of cookbooks, was...fantastic, right down to the Spotify playlist. I’ve already been to a couple of the procurement places! The detail that makes this food so good is in the quality of the ingredients chosen by Sandra. She has an expert knowledge of the regions from which her dishes are chosen. This is exceptional italian food with combinations that match well together. These dishes...(3 courses) for a table of 10 were expertly prepared and presented, unlike anything you will find in a restaurant.More
Amazing!!! My husband, our 2 adult children and their partners were enthralled with Sandra’s knowledge and beautiful personality. Her home is incredibly welcoming and an eclectic collection of her personality. Her cooking skills were wide ranging and advise where to buy the items from our...menu was very helpful. She was very flexible with our menu options giving us a great range of choice. We all came away from our evening absolutely full from the delicious food, and leant some helpful skills and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience.More
As I sit here eating a pasta dish that I learned from Sandra's blog (Candele con funghi selvatici - mushroom pasta), I am reminded to finally write a review of the SEAFOOD FEAST class my husband and I did together back in May. In addition...to it being a delicious, entertaining and super enjoyable evening, indulging in the 4 courses that Sandra demonstratively prepared and us bursting at the seams as we rolled out her door, we could never unlearn the tips and incredible knowledge that Sandra shared about a variety of topics with respect to the recipe but mainly in relation to PASTA. Sandra's knowledge and passion for italian cooking really transformed us and proud to say the pasta dishes and tips we have since cooked (including selecting the right ingredients and pasta) have tasted to us, like the best italian restaurants we've dined at. Sandra was kind enough to keep in touch and share some eating tips when we travelled to Italy a month later, and even they were gems. Highly recommend this for a gorgeous night out with a delicious feast, and in addition to the lovely ambience and fun evening, you will learn so much. We learned more from Sandra than our travels and cooking classes in Italy!More

Sandra is a generous host, welcoming her guests into her eclectic home. My friends took me to “A Night in Rome” as a gift for a special birthday, and what a treat it was. Watching Sandra prepare her delicious courses while sharing her knowledge about...the ingredients, her Italian heritage, her COVID lockdown YouTube discoveries and instructions on local suppliers to source ingredients kept us all entertained and informed. My husband and I attended Sandra's gnocchi making class and were both really impressed with how well run the class was. We have done a number of cooking classes and this was definitely one of our favourites. Sandra's recipes were easy to follow and her...hints and tips along the way will definitely be used again not just in gnocchi making but with our day to day cooking. Sandra was really well organised with all ingredients weighed and ready to go which highlighted the benefit of preparation before starting to cook. The food we cooked was all really delicious and we can't wait to make it again. The class allowed for lots of questions and we had plenty of discussion around everyone's trips to Italy which only makes us look forward to being able to travel there again. We look forward to trying other classes with Sandra.More
Sandra’s Sicilian class was brilliant! Sandra was passionate, informative and exciting to watch in her kitchen. We not only learned about Sicilian cooking, but italian cuisine as a whole, and the importance of using quality ingredients. And obviously the food was delicious!
