Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is exactly the type of place we have been looking for. Relaxed atmosphere with very friendly welcome from Bictor who worked there. Extremely friendly customer service and our 3 kids were welcomed and able to play with toys under the big patio. He was...helping us with our Spanish and asking questions to help his English. It was super! The food was delicious and prices were reasonable. We will be back for sure before we head back to Canada! GraciasMore

One of the ways to know if the service of a place is good is seeing their response to adversity. Today one of our diners asked for 3 minutes to be able to put his order and was completely forgotten. We had to call them...so we could put their order. Although the mistake was the waiter's, the waitress's response to the complaint about the long wait (for the food), was rude and said there was nothing to do. My family and I frequented this place on vacation, now I don't think we'll come back.More

I wish I could give this place six stars! Possibly the best food of my trip to Costa Rica. The juices and smoothies were so fresh and delicious. My husband ordered two of the banana, orange, papaya one! The panini sandwiches were generous in size...and so fresh and wonderful. The ham and tomato had the best cheese. The bean sandwich was outstanding. I would eat here once a week if I could. Great place to stop after hiking in Cabo Blanco. The little roadside sign is easily missed, but a beautiful and extremely clean restaurant awaits under the trees!More

I'm really concern about all the people mad about a simple mask, we still in a pandemia and the ministry of health continues with the mask mandate, believe it or not, if many business don't ask for the masks it doesn't mean that the mandate...is not in place, I visited this place many times for years and the food was and still delicious, the service is very good, if they are full... of course food its gonna take longer, its not a fast food restaurant, they were never rude in any moment with me, if you are a respectful person and follow the rules, your gonna have and awesome experience here and in anywhere you go, the problem maybe is not on the business, it could be on the onpolite people, that's how the things are, I encourage you to check it out for yourself.More

Very rude service and accommodations. It’s all outside, and they will insist that you wear a mask. Only restaurant in the world that will make you wear a mask between sips of water while you wait for your food 🤣

The smoothies, entrees, and desserts were delicious. Sometimes you have to wait for food, but it is worth it. This is not pre-made fast food, so a wait is going to happen. We ate multiple times here and would go again. The atmosphere is great-mellow...and outdoors.More

Adorable place, extremely rude customer service and I felt like they did not want us there and couldn’t care less about our business. It was the first time I felt this way in Costa Rica and I had did not read the other reviews before...stopping but wish I had. I am a nurse, and know much about hygiene an infection control. We washed hands when we arrived and sat down at a table. They insisted we put a mask on sitting chatting with no one else anywhere around, this is low season, and did not ask nicely about it. I’m with a child who will not be reducing his oxygen consumption sitting at a table in Costa Rica as we are healthy asymptomatic and would not travel if we were not anyway. Again the delivery was more important than the message here although the message was clearly estupido.More

I have been to this restaurant numerous times. I guess I am an eternal optimist. I keep giving them a chance, but every time I go, whether it is crowded or whether there is no one there but me, I am given the distinct impression...that they do not like gringos. For reference, my wife and I are older and very respectful . Although we are residents, we consider ourselves guests and act accordingly. Yet as polite as we are, the service is always poor, acting as if they are doing us a favor. The food takes a long time, and you have to hunt down the wait staff if you need a refill on a drink. I have never given a bad review to a restaurant in Costa Rica. Most of the time we enjoy dining out. Unfortunately, this restaurant will not be getting any more of our business, as well as several friends who have been with us and got poor service.More

Ever watch a movie where it just keeps on getting better? Like your mid way through the movie and you possibly couldn’t imagine how it could get any better, but it still does? Yup, I’m not talking about GoodFellas, it’s Cabuya Bakery. Starting off the...place is beautiful! The wood furniture, the house and the Cabuya breeze. Really good location if you’re on your way to either Montezuma, Santa Tere, Cabo Blanco, Mal País, or Cabuya Island. The smoothies are a MUST, and the homemade yogurt and deserts just make you want to watch this movie over and over again. I had the rice with shrimp which they prepare with coconut oil (when have you heard of that before? yup never probably, and it’s amazing!). The service was great, not to mention the congo howling as our live music and several iguanas as our new friends. It’s simply watching a movie that you never want to end.More

I heard so much about this coffee, so I decided this is my place to go. I went there today on a Sunday. Surely it was busy, but there was only this one waiter for all the tables. I asked him to be seated, it...took him already very long to fulfill this task. Finally he started to clean a table fro me and I had to ask, if he kindly could give me a menu. I told him while he is cleaning, I will be parking my car. Coming back I found that in the meantime, he has seated two others on my table. He let me wait and gave me a table in the back. I thought this was already rude, but said Ok and asked him to come back to take my orders. He said he will be back in an instant. What he did, was coming back to the two girls he had given my table to and started to take their orders, when they even haven't decided yet. I told him, that I have the impression that he does not want to serve me and he even started to make fun of me in Spanish to the women he gave my table to. Unfortunately I understand Spanish and I stood up and left this place. So I really don't know what the problem was, either that I was having coffee on my own or I am a woman or I am a tourist or that he wanted to impress the girls he seated. I didn't get it. But this was the worst experience in whole Costa Rica.More
